1st time here and I never had a gyro before…so my hopes were really high…but unfortunately they were let down.
I never had a gyro before and I wasn’t too impressed to say the least. The meat didn’t sit well with my stomach and it tasted very bland to me. So I won’t be having that again.
The fries though were very good and different with there own seasoning to it I enjoyed them more then the gyro. Plus they gave me alot of fries so that made up for the gyro.
The Fried Tilapia was amazing and huge I didn’t expect the piece to be so BIG!! And as you can see the fries came in waves!!
Overall good service and atmosphere, drive thru was quick but I wasn’t too impressed.
Maybe I’ll give them another go at a another time and I’ll try there hamburger instead of there Gyro.

The staff was extremely polite, but the food is definitely not worth the price.
Ordered the waffles and ice cream for my daughter sadly the waffle had no flavor and was very dry and bland.

Frist time here, wasn’t to happy about the price, thought this was a fast food place, but it’s more of a seat down nice restaurant price & food takes just as long, fries and shrimp was under cooked. Seen a load of new workers, manager should have taken them to back and berate them, not in front of customers. Won’t be coming back, price isn’t worth the food you get & quality is “SO” lacking!

Went to the new one on N 98 I Lakeland for the first time ever.
Ordered the 1/2 lb of gizzards, did not receive 1/2 lb and the were so chewy like trying to eat rubber, and soooo greasy, definitely inedible, not sure I will go back.

Salem’s is equivalent to Tunis is Jax, but Tunis IMO has them beat. We pulled through the drive thru and ordered our food, there were cars in front of us and a nice little wait inside, so I figured everything would be great.
We ordered two 5-piece wing and 20-piece shrimp meals that come with a drink but no fries for $13.49 a piece before taxes, cheese fries that were simply a small container of fries with a little nacho cheese for $4.99 before taxes and a pound of jumbo shrimp.
Their shrimp was my favorite, I guess that’s why my fiance only gets shrimp from here and nothing else. Their wings were super dry and lacked flavor, the cheese fries were a rip off and fries should definitely come with a meal that cost that much but instead I had to order extra.
The prices don’t match the taste of the food, and idk if this experience makes me want to try anything else …We’ll see I guess.

We stopped here after going to the meat market nearby to grab a quick bite to eat before heading home. The staff was extremely friendly. Good atmosphere. Inside was very clean and provided prompt service. I had never been there so I wasn’t sure what to expect as far as the food went, but I was pleasantly surprised.
