When I go out to eat with my wife, that’s what I expect to do…. when we both order our Steaks the same… Why does hers come out perfect and mine cones out overcooked.
They tried to correct the situation but by the time they brought the other steak out it was under cooked and my wife had finished her meal.
So did we go out and enjoy a Steak dinner together…. NOT .
What’s bad is this is a place we enjoy going to.
Even though they offered me a choice of choosing another entrée….. the thought was destroyed. They should have offered us a free steak dinner at another day but didn’t. Instead I got a bill for my wife’s dinner.
Talk about destroying the atmosphere of the reason we went there.
It’s a shame, especially since we like the place and the people there.
They just handled the situation as they really didn’t care. And we go there every one to two weeks.
Guess we need to find somewhere else to spend $100.-
We were treated like family. Food was SO tasty, quick & fresh! We ate sooooo much.
Favorites:
Hushpuppies, coleslaw, turnips greens, crab legs, potatoes, bread pudding! We WILL be back! Highly recommend.
They were out of a few items, but that lets me know that they try to keep fresh produce on hand.
When you walk in, it doesn’t seem at all like any typical restaurant you would come across, but i enjoyed that part of the experience.
The food was good, although some items may be considered a bit overpriced for what you receive. Plan on spending about $20 per person. Overall, I was satisfied, although others in our group were disappointed with the pricing and availability of items. The staff were friendly and the food came out hot.
I will definitely be back.
We arrived and ordered at 6:00 PM. Our food didn’t come out until 7:28 PM—and it was cold. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, so the long wait was frustrating.
On top of that, we were told snow crab clusters would be $8 each with an entrée, but were charged $9.75 per cluster, along with other fees we weren’t informed about (like an extra plate charge). The extra cost wasn’t the real issue—being surprised at checkout was. If I’d known, I could’ve just ordered something different instead of the charging additional fees.
When I asked about the ticket, I was snapped at and basically told to pay. I opted for carry-out since we’d waited so long, but the staff member left my food on the counter and walked away when I inquired about the charges. There was no apology for the delay or cold food.
I don’t want to assume the worst about why service felt different for us, but the lack of communication and courtesy left a bad taste. The rest of the staff was polite, but one person’s attitude can ruin an entire experience. Sadly, I won’t be returning or recommending this place anymore.
The waitress Ava was awesome!
The hostess was very friendly and made sure to get us a seat quick.
We had greens and Cole slaw and hush puppies for a appetizer also tried the cheese curds they were good!
My Ribeye was cooked to perfection!
The baked potato was good too!
Will definitely go again!
