Everything we had was amazing!! We had as a group the Duck, Sirloin, Pot pie, artichoke dip, and one of the Swordfish specials. Every single one of us enjoyed every bite we tried (yes, we all tried each other’s food!).

Recently, I went to a wedding at the Salem Cross Inn, and while the food was good and the venue itself was beautiful, it just didn’t wow me. The room with cocktail hour had seats that could barely fit people, and the room itself didn’t seem large enough to accommodate the number of people they say it does. The reception hall was hot in most places and very cold in other places. The salad was drenched in dressing to the point in which it was almost inedible. The main entrée, however, was delicious! Some of the servers didn’t look too happy to be there from what we observed. Despite the negatives, this is a lovely place for a wedding!

Salem Cross Inn is a magical place from long ago child memories. The whole brunch experience will take you back in time when we cooked on an open fireplace. Everyone was great Evan was a show man as well as informative and all staff were on top of the whole experience. Food was excellent, hay ride could have been longer to experience what a hay ride is. Plan on going back again each year with friends & family.

The Salem Cross Inn is a lovely place for a special occasion or a nice dinner. We took my boyfriend’s mom there for her 80th birthday celebration. The Salem Cross Inn was fabulous. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is so cozy and fun. The hosts were especially friendly and welcoming. We took a horse-drawn wagon ride, which was included by the way, while our dinner of tasty prime rib of beef was cooking on a vintage 1700’s rotisserie over an open fire. We came in from the wagon ride and enjoyed home made hot apple cider and mulled wine with cheese, crackers and fresh fruit also included with the Fireplace Feast and actually got to help make the first course of seafood chowder which was so delicious. Our host, a third generation of the Salem family shared the secret ingredients of the family seafood chowder recipe while patrons participated in stirring of the caldron. After appetizers, and drinks we all headed upstairs to the main dining room for the seafood chowder and the main course of prime rib, roasted potatoes and butternut squash and a nice selection of rolls and spiced muffins. We had warm apple pie with fresh homemade whipped cream for dessert. Throughout the venue you will see a wonderful collection of Colonial period artifacts which enhanced the experience. Because we arrived a little early we were fortunate to have a quick tour around the main house and learned about the original architecture, some of the restoration finds of the Inn as well some interesting stories and background information about the property and original owners of the property. The entire evening what quite an experience and we’ll worth an hour and forty five minutes from southern RI. I would definitely go back again for dinner.

Beautiful place, had the surf and turf the beef was so tender you could cut if easily with you fork.. our waitress Dawn was amazing! She was so friendly and informative. If you’re looking for a place with ambiance look no further. I will definitely be back in the very near future.

I’ve been here many times before and been happy with the meal however this time the prime rib had to be the smallest I’ve ever got(anywhere)and for $32 I expected more. It did taste great however and the rest of the meal was good. Service was good but seemed a little stressed but got the job done.

We had our wedding at Salem Cross Inn on 9/23/2022. We had a phenomenal experience from the very first tour of the venue all the way up to our wedding day. Nancy and Donna were a pleasure to work with. Any and every question we had they were able to answer. They helped us coordinate our reception with ease, and pointed us in the direction of a wonderful justice of the peace, (Paula Roberts, who was wonderful!), that helped us coordinate the ceremony. Between Nancy, Donna and Paula, our stress surrounding planning our day melted away. The grounds are beautiful, our guests LOVED the food, and we all had the best time. We were expecting to like our wedding day, but our wedding was truly magical thanks to the hard work of Nancy and Donna. We cannot recommend them or Salem Cross Inn highly enough.
