The atmosphere of the restaurant was delightful—cozy yet lively, with a touch of Cuban flair that felt both festive and comfortable. You could tell that every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the decor to the music to the overall vibe. It created the perfect setting for a relaxed meal with friends or family, allowing everyone to truly enjoy the experience rather than just the food.
Speaking of food, everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Each dish was prepared with care, bursting with flavor, and perfectly presented. The menu offered a great mix of classic Cuban dishes, and every bite reflected authenticity and quality. The ingredients were fresh, the portions generous, and the seasoning perfectly balanced. Whether it was the savory entrees or the lighter appetizers, each plate was satisfying and memorable. It’s clear that Alfredo and Mabel take pride not only in their hospitality but also in the culinary experience they offer.
What really stood out, however, was the personal touch they brought to the evening. Alfredo and Mabel went out of their way to make us feel welcome, checking in with genuine interest and sharing stories about the dishes, the culture, and the inspiration behind the menu. Their passion for their craft and their heritage was evident, and it added a special layer to the experience that made it more than just a meal—it felt like a celebration of Cuban culture and cuisine.
By the end of the evening, we felt thoroughly satisfied—not only from the delicious food but also from the warmth, care, and energy Alfredo and Mabel brought to the restaurant. It was an experience that lingered long after the meal was over. We are already planning to return and can’t wait to enjoy their hospitality and delicious dishes again.
In short, this is a must-visit spot for anyone who wants authentic Cuban food served with a smile and a personal touch. Alfredo and Mabel’s exceptional service, the inviting atmosphere, and the outstanding food make it a place we’ll happily recommend to anyone. We left with full hearts, full stomachs, and the certainty that we’ll be back soon. Thank you, Alfredo and Mabel, for such a memorable experience!
I ordered the vaca frita and it was absolutely on point — perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, and seasoned just right. The enchilado de camarones was just as impressive. The shrimp were fresh, cooked perfectly, and swimming in a rich, savory sauce that had just the right amount of kick.
We started with empanadas and wow… easily some of the best I’ve had. Crispy, golden, and packed with flavor. You can tell everything is made with care.
And the drinks? Just as good as the food. Well-balanced, refreshing, and the perfect complement to a fun Friday night atmosphere.
If you’re looking for great Cuban food, strong flavors, and a vibrant spot to kick off the weekend, Sala’o definitely delivers. Can’t wait to go back! The service was exceptional (our servers name is Yamgel) and the live music was a nice touch (not too loud and just the right pitch to add to the ambiance).
