1st time giving this place a try for take out lunch with a few work colleagues. Our food was ready when we arrived and when we got back to the office everything appeared to be freshly made except for the pita bread, it was hard and dry which made it difficult to eat. Other than that, we enjoyed the food.

I have a routine and it’s gotten to the point where the people who work at the Newark location near the audible building recognize me & my order. The vibes in there are always good and the food is consistently awesome. 10/10, the food alone is worth the money I pay for it but the fact that the people who work there are also friendly and good at their jobs makes it even better 🙂

I am vegan and I got the Thai rice bowl which I think may be the best salad I’ve ever had. The picture shown here of the Thai rice bowl has shrimp on it, so it’s not the Thai rice bowl. The actual Thai rice bowl has sweet chili tofu with is out of this world! It’s the perfect mixture of flavors and the dressing is delicious as well. I got two good size meals out of this one bowl, so it’s well worth the price. Unfortunately I don’t live here anymore so I can’t get it, and there’s nothing like it where I live

Typically, I’ve found their salads to be reasonably priced and generously portioned, which has kept me coming back. However, my recent experience left me thoroughly disappointed. Upon perusing the menu, I opted to supplement my salad with a side of shrimp, assuming it would add some much-needed protein to my meal. Little did I anticipate the shock that awaited me when I received the bill. What started as an 8-dollar purchase quickly escalated to a hefty 18-dollar charge, solely due to the addition of shrimp. Upon receiving my order, my disappointment only grew. To my dismay, there were a measly four shrimp accompanying my salad. For the price I paid, this felt like a blatant rip-off. Ten dollars for four shrimp is not only exorbitant but downright unfair. While I appreciate the quality of ingredients and flavors offered by this establishment, the glaring discrepancy between cost and portion size leaves much to be desired. As a loyal customer who has frequented this salad house in the past, I expected better. It’s disheartening to see a place I once enjoyed tarnish its reputation with such pricing practices. In conclusion, while the salad itself may have been satisfying, the exorbitant cost for minimal additions has left a sour taste in my mouth. Until this issue is rectified, I’m afraid I’ll have to reconsider returning to this establishment. As a consumer, I believe it’s crucial to voice concerns regarding pricing transparency and value for money, and I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback into account for future improvements.

Totally love Salad House, but end up never ordering from here simply bcz the moment you add a protein to your salad – they charge exorbitantly high for the amount they give ! I added Shrimp , which costed me an additional 7.5$ and they sent me 2 medium sized grilled shrimps! Pathetic ! Such a waste of money !

I stopped into Salad House Newark on my way home from work. I was greeted warmly by the people working in the front. They were knowledgeable of the menu and were very professional. My salad came out quickly and looked amazing! So happy to have a healthy and quick option here in Newark! I will be back soon to try out a wrap and a smoothie! Thanks Salad House!
