For a place called Salad Brothers you’d think that the salads would stand out. They do not. The tuna salad sandwich was ok. Staff were ok. Way overpriced. Pass on this one

I come to this place EVERY time I’m in town. They have THE BEST Beer Cheese soup I’ve ever had, and their fresh made rolls are AMAZING!

The place is decent. The people working there are “ok” not super friendly. I had a chopped salad. Bag lettuce but fresh and an enchiladas that was pulled out of the refrigerator and microwaved in a to go container. It was ok. The price seems very reasonable and I waited about 5 minutes at lunch time.

I was pleasantly surprised by this little find. Accessible via the downtown subway, which is perfect during the winter, Salad Brothers has very good food with a homemade style, and low prices competitive with the cafeteria at the Mayo Clinic. I think I was most impressed with the friendly service. The gentleman who helped us was quick, professional, and knowledgeable about the restaurant. It became very apparent that this is a staple stop for the locals, who he knew by name, all the more adding to the local charm. I definitely recommend this to anyone in the area, and be sure to grab plenty of bread sticks to the right of the soda fountain (which he was quick to replenish with more straight from the oven when notified they were running low).

The portions at this place are fairly small for the price. The food tastes very average. Their enchiladas are far from being anything like Mexican. This time I had a small taco salad which was very small in portion and paying 8 dollars for some Doritos with lettuce, beef and a few toppings seemed overpriced. If it tasted exceptional I definitely wouldn’t complain about the prices.

It wasn’t very good. Was a bit disappointed with my sandwich and the tables could have used a good cleaning. Update 11/28/23…guess I should have checked my past review. Got a loaded potato and it’s almost $8. Lacked toppings and what they put was microwaved. Cheese became a glob of microwaved yuck. Broccoli undercooked.. lady at counter all but shouted at me. Won’t be back…that’s for sure.

I dined here 4 years ago and again recently. Sadly, I suspect there is new ownership since the last time I have been simply due to the ultra processed food. What a gem this place used to be.

2 stars for the kind hello at the register.

*Recipes are only as good as the quality of their ingredients. I have no gain in this review. Just looking to give honest feedback.

What happened to their customer service? Today more than every, service is as important as the food for any restaurant. We were visitors to Rochester and Salad Brothers every 90 days for years and years. We just returned after after 3 years away and went there twice in three days. They were not friendly, engaging, or helpful in any way. This is A HUGE surprise! They used to talk to you and try to help in any way they could. As of today, we still like their food but are VERY disappointed in their people.
