Nice spot with a great vibe. Clean, cozy, and BYOB, which was a big plus.
Loved the grilled pork, and it was cool to see Northern Thai Isan sausage on the menu.
The green papaya salad tasted a bit different from what I’m used to.

Great atmosphere overall, but if you go late at night, you may need to wait.

Wonderful staff in an amazing Thai restaurant. Oh and the food is clean, fresh and authentic. Great venue for an intimate date night. Wish we ordered more. But two appetizers and entrees to share with drinks and we shared it all. Nice portions with quality ingredients.

I’ve been to Sala Thai a few times now and every visit just confirms why it’s one of my favorite spots. The food is consistently excellent my go-to dishes are the tom yum, their rich curries, drunken noodles, and the crab omelette. Everything always tastes fresh and well-prepared.

The staff and owners are incredibly welcoming and kind which makes the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself is tidy and well-kept, so you can really enjoy your meal in a comfortable space. They recently did a fun collaboration for their dessert, and it was a nice touch that showed they put creativity and care into their menu.

I’d recommend Sala Thai to anyone, you can’t go wrong at any of their locations. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving great Thai food.

Small but beautiful restaurant with a lovely style and amicable staff. It was a bit busy but luckily we were able to get a table and our dishes came quickly after ordering. The food was 10/10- went with some friends and we got the Khao Moo Dang, drunken noodles, pad see ew, and curry noodles, and everything was delicious! I personally got the Khao Moo Dang and the skewers were tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, and the side sauce had a nice kick. Will definitely be going back again!

Super cute decor and cozy, but small with limited seating. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thai Tea was delicious. Garlic wings had a bit too much bread to offset the chicken and barely tasted chicken. Would have stuck with the skewers and the chili sauce, which was very yummy. Pad Thai was good, but stir fried noodles so had some crunchy areas which I don’t love in my noodles.

I came here after staying in Tempe/ Chandler area for almost 5 years now. I have been to a lot of Thai restaurants in the area and nothing was close to this one. It’s a hidden gem I am surprised I missed out on this one before as I love Thai food but was always disappointed. We had Ladyboy wings and Spicy basil leaves with fried eggs and both the dishes were amazing. The ambience was also very good. But it has a small seating area and I bet it must be very crowded on weekends. Hands down the best Thai place in the area.

We were looking for a Thai restaurant to celebrate my birthday and stumbled upon this spot in Tempe near Broadway. It’s easy to find, and when we walked in, the place looked cute as a button — cozy, limited seating, with couches and chairs that gave it more of a café vibe. While the couches were comfortable, they weren’t the most practical for dining.

The ambiance felt fresh and modern, and the menu was surprisingly extensive — covering appetizers, stir-fries, curries, noodles, rice, and specialties.

For starters, we tried the chicken satay and shrimp tempura. The chicken satay was delicious — nicely grilled, juicy, and full of flavor. The shrimp tempura, however, was a letdown. It lacked flavor and came off a bit too bland.

For mains, we ordered the Khao Soi (curry noodles) and Suki Hang. Presentation was excellent and thoughtfully done. The curry noodles, though, were just okay — the coconut-based curry was overpowering and felt more like sipping straight curry than enjoying a balanced noodle dish. The Suki Hang was good, but overall the food leaned more modern and Americanized than authentic Thai.

We ended with mango sticky rice. The mango was fresh and generously portioned, but the sticky rice was average compared to other versions I’ve had.

Overall, it’s a nice spot with reasonable prices, but not the most authentic Thai experience. I’d come back for a light bite, maybe a salad, but as a whole it was an average experience.

What a pleasant surprise in Phoenix! Didn’t expect such lovely Thai food and excellent service, but here we are. I really enjoyed everything, but I enjoyed the Thai fried rice with shrimp the most. You won’t go wrong here and it’s a really cool vibe for an intimate date night too.

Sala Thai is worth the drive and the wait (if there is one). I’ve eaten at tons of Thai places across the Valley and dang does Ming and his team know what they’re doing.

The service is attentive, warm, and always friendly. Their small space is beautifully decorated, intimate and welcoming of both small and larger parties.

Their food though, WOW. I’ve been here probably 5 times now and it is consistently amazing every single time. Their curries, noodle dishes, skewers and street food are exceptional. Believe the other reviews!

Thank you to Ming and his team for serving us time and time again, we love visiting!
