We are fairly picky about Thai food since we have a great Thai restaurant in our home town…so we we a little skeptical when we are here on vacation. BUT…we were so happy we decided to try it. Jay (the owner) was so nice and very accommodating, and the food was fantastic. My wife got drunken noodles and I had their cashew chicken. Heat choices here are 1 – 5…5 being Thai hot (if memory serves). We thought the numbers were a little on the milder side. I usually like Thai food medium spice…and I got a 3 and was happy.
Very good food. I just wish they had egg rolls with meat in them. All they have is veggie egg rolls and spring rolls. But their Chicken Potstickers were very good.
We were staying about 15 minutes away in a resort but it was so good we are there twice.
The only thing I wish they would do is replace the table light bulbs with the ones that are opaque on the bottom. To me they are kind of bright as you look at and talk to those at your table.

FINALLY a veg option that is truly mixed veg: this sort of winter squash i’m not sure if that’s a little like pumpkin, zucchini, carrot, bok choy, mushroom, green bean, etc AND they’re hand cut and FRESH. i cannot tell you how truly hard this is to find these days. i’m definitely coming back.

Sala Thai is truly a gem! I’ve been here plenty of times by myself + friends & family for big events. The staff has always been so friendly and accommodating. They really know their stuff when it comes to Thai cuisine and recommendations! If you get a guy name Welby – you know you’re in the right hands! My favorites are the Beef Drunken Noodles and Eggplant Stir-Fry (Spice level 5 HOT!!!!). The seasonal dessert Mango & Sticky rice is also sooooo good. Last time I was there, they surprised me with a birthday Fried Banana & Ice-Cream and it was sooo good and heavenly. 15/10 recommend! <3

Huge disappointment as this place is in our neighborhood and was our go-to place whenever coming back from a trip or a weekday take out dinner. Quality definitely went down a lot.
1. You order “Spicy eggplant” dish but 3 pieces of eggplant and mostly onion and bell pepper?
2. I asked waiter “can I get the dish to be re-made because the dish is eggplant?” He said no problem yet brought me a dish of eggplant as a solution… he did not tell me this is additional $3.
3. When I ordered spicy eggplant I simply asked can I have a little extra basils for the fragrance, no heads up on the $1.5charge.
4. 3% Credit card charge?… he didn’t even bring the bill or check just brought the Pos machine. If we didn’t print the receipt we wouldn’t even know.
5. All dishes came out 2 mins after we order. I really question the freshness of the dishes. My husband had some minor stomach problems after.
The whole experience is just wrong and off and sad to see our neighborhood place turned out like this now.
Don’t get the stir fries entrees on menu. It will all be like this (just onions and bell pepper).

Surprise credit card surcharge!
Decided to give it another try for a friend’s birthday. Large portions, but the food was just uninspiring. Service was mediocre. Not great tasting, certainly.
The worst thing was, when paying the bill, a surprise credit card surcharge. It’s not listed on the menu, or mentioned by the server. Very disappointing.

Cold spring rolls, mediocre shrimp appetizer. Very tough beef in entree.
I’ve been coming here since they first opened. Came again for the first time in many years and was pretty disappointed with the service. Got ice cold spring rolls, and not even any sort of a “sorry” about it. The beef in the entree was so tough.
Pricing is a bit high for what you get.
The spicy pork was done nicely, so the night wasn’t a total washout.
