Fabulous restaurant we visited for brunch on a weekend. They had onsite parking and were able to easy seat us without a reservation.
One this visit we enjoyed the Fish Tacos and the Sala Burger. Both were excellent. The fish taco positively melted in my mouth with awesome tastiness. And the Sala burger was simply burger perfection. We actually shared both of these making it a surf and turf experience.
For desert we devoured an order of fried powdered donuts which were awesome. So if you are a couple look for a chill brunch location I highly recommend Sala Nola.

Sala is a great restaurant any time of day. They have a wonderful brunch with creative and wonderful omelets! Happy Hour spans a few hours and has great bites and drink options. Dinner has nightly specials and my favorite is Tuesday night half price wine by the bottle. We have started to go more often as it is nearby. What draws us back however, is the food and service. Food is consistent, well prepared, has menu variety, and excellent value. We do not eat red meat yet never have an issue finding a wonderful meal. The specials are always interesting!! Atmosphere is pleasant and allows for conversation and everyone is over the top just nice.

If you are a fan of a BLT, there is none better than the one served here. Every aspect of of it well thought out and made to perfection. I literally crave it and have to come get it sometimes!

I posted a review two days ago but it is not anywhere to be found. In short, we reserved a dinner reservation 1-31-26 6:15. Requested a booth and asked if Birthdays are acknowledged at the time of scheduling. Answer , oh yes, we provide a small dessert for birthday. Great!! We arrived on schedule, seated, then about 12 min later , server comes to table to take drink order. A very loud voice inappropriate for “fine dining” atmosphere. Next, ordered drinks and appetizers. Halfway through appetizers, entrees are brought to table!!! I said we are not even finished with first course, server returned food to kitchen! Then brought out again when we completed our first course. Then came time for dessert. Server asked if we wanted any, party declined but I said we Have A Birthday. Server says happy birthday then walks away. At this point I am expecting that bday surprise to be brought to table…. No… did not happen instead we are presented with bill and asked again by server about wanting dessert! We declined but mentioned again we have a birthday. Server did not get it!!! I walked over to host and asked about the birthday surprise treat! “Oh you didn’t get it?” I was extremely embarrassed by this time and returned to table to gather party and leave. Server comes over and says “since you declined dessert I wasn’t going to serve anything to be wasted “. Oh wow…. How clueless and judgmental of this person! We regulars of your Panola Cafe and spent MANY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS AT YOUR PEPPERMILL! NEVER have we been treated like this! Train your staff to meet your “fine dining “ protocol AND BRING BACK THE PEPPERMILL Restaurant!

I recently visited Sala Nola for steak night and had a warm feeling of nostalgia. While the service was a bit slow, the prices were a pleasant surprise considering the portions. The steak was mildly seasoned and a bit small, but the mash potatoes were a nice touch. However, it was the ambiance and setup inside that truly shined ….it felt like I was back in Houston, and that was the best part of the experience. If they can work on getting the service up to speed, I’d definitely come back.

Visited today and had a great experience!
I love going to restaurants on the lake, I love being on the lake in general. Today was actually my first time after driving by this restaurant multiple times. While dinning, I only ordered small bites as I was passing time on the way to an event.
I ordered the truffle fries + bang bang shrimp, and of course drinks. The shrimp were very tasty and good, some of the best bang bang shrimp I’ve had. The fries were really greasy but still fine— I probably wouldn’t order those again.
Tiffany was at the bar on the drinks and she is great. My drinks were made perfectly. The atmosphere of this place is casual. It was dead today when I visited. I can see this restaurant being a nice meet up spot for friends.
I’m looking forward to visiting again soon.

Had a large group Birthday brunch on Saturday,
food was good drinks we’re good. The waitress was very rude. No separated checks. Only 5 cards only was separated. Didn’t ask if anyone was paying cash nothing. Water was refilled after our meal was done. Im disappointed.

We arrived for dinner just after 6pm on a Saturday and were able to be seated without reservations, but I would highly recommend them because it got busy quickly. There is a parking lot with plenty of parking. Loved the atmosphere; the place is modern with a variety of seating options (regular tables, high tops, bar, and lounge) and you can actually hear the person you’re trying to have a conversation with. Service was great and all of the staff members were actually wearing masks correctly. The cocktail menu is extensive and all the drinks looked good. We had an appetizer and dinner, and it was all pretty good. Duck empanadas were more like triangular egg rolls but still tasty.
