Manuel Salazar Sacasa Jr ▻ Lamont CA “Real” Community Group … Has anyone in town have tried Sal y Azúcar Restaurant on Main Street and Digorgio …

We’ve been working on this for a while now !! Hope you guys like it …

Because sometimes, all it takes is a warm meal, a familiar table, and a place that feels like yours. At Sally Azukar, we don’t just serve food.

Really delicious food. I loved the tortas! The lady was very friendly, and the agua de horchata was so good. I also picked up some salsa macha and conchas. Definitely recommend this place.

Very well served food, as far as flavor and size of the tacos, excellent! Everywhere else the tacos barely have meat. Friendly workers and fast service. I will come back.

I was driving and saw this nice attracting little restaurant in the middle of nowhere so we decided to give it a try. I honestly was excited! It seems they are new around town since they had banners and floaties outside stating NOW OPEN. We walked in and ordered at the counter, not a single client inside and a little dark, the guy in the front seemed to have an attitude but I ignored it since he was young. I went and sat and he told me that we had to pay before we ate. No big deal, I gave him a $100 bill and he asked if I had anything smaller. Then a lady in the back told him to take it, that they had change. He placed the money in the counter with no receipt. Then he came back and asked to change the flavor of the Agua Fresca I had ordered as they had ran out. I did, but it was just getting weird. Then they brought out the food, I ordered the chilaquiles with scrambled eggs. I wish I would have taken a picture, they scrambled the eggs with the chilaquiles, hardly any eggs, but they tasted as if they had pork or if they had been cooked with some oil used to cook some type of meat. I asked the lady about the flavor and she mentioned that it may be the Chile guajillo. I blamed my tastebuds and left them untouched, just ate the rice and beans. I realized my brother was just eating the meat from his tacos and not the tortillas. I took a tortilla from him, and realized they were stiff and oily. Never got asked for refills. My experience sucked! I leave this here in hopes that they read this and they work towards a better ambiance and service.
