My husband ordered the Greenwich Village sandwich, which was a great vegetarian option and full of flavor. The Alfredo was creamy and comforting, and the focaccia was a nice touch. We also enjoyed dessert afterward—the ice cream and waffle cone were a hit.
Our server, Elizabeth, was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Overall, it was a fun, relaxed place for a family meal, and we’ll definitely be back.
The food was average. I had the turkey burger which was okay; on scale of 1-10, a 6. My friend had the eggplant panini which was pretty dry…. I think there should be some marinara or something with it.
I forgot to take a photo of the turkey burger and fries but did take photo of my friend’s panini. Overall, the food was okay. I enjoyed the service and atmosphere most. I love that they have a bar and another very nice dining area. They also have a large selection of ice cream with topping’s.
I highly recommend visiting this location!!
️The food looked phenomenal! I loved my salad and the breadsticks were good. However, The flavor was lacking in some areas. The sauce on the pies lacked flavor/seasoning but it was still decent. I did like the thin crust. (The kids are pizza connoisseurs and devoured it.) The kids complained that the spaghetti was spicy and I honestly didn’t believe them until I tried it. It was very spicy to be a kid’s menu entree of spaghetti. I thought that was odd. The artichoke on my sandwich was so hard that I couldn’t chew it. I did remove it and otherwise, it tasted pretty good and the portions were big! My husband however did enjoy his meal. We never saw our waitress again for refills, check on us etc. (I’m talking like 20 minutes) Someone from a different party actually got up and went to the counter to ask for a refill. We did see her after this and she left the check. We asked for a refill to go and she disappeared again for about 10 minutes, reappeared took our payment, came back and sat it down and said have a good day and walked off. No drinks to go. We definitely didn’t have the best experience. I’m not sure if we will return to this exact location but The place was cute and clean! Hostess staff was great! The kids did get these cool stick figure things that were moldable and kept them occupied and quiet almost the entire time.
Great service, full bar, good beer selection and ice cream treats as well.
Even when crowded service is good. This is a great place for a party in the side room or to disappear at the bar.
The park avenue is a great white pizza. The green goddess salad dressing is the best salad dressing ever created. Think ranch, but with flavor!
Than I ordered this lovely panini, I believe they call it the “Tony Montana”.
It Was WONDERFUL, very flavorful & the dressing they put made the whole sandwich!
It wasn’t dry, bland, nor cold.
& of course to top it off a one of the best Cesar dressing I’ve encountered. Salad was terrific!
This is definitely a good spot to take the kids, or if you & your significant other are trying to go somewhere inexpensive but still nice dining. Come here you won’t regret it!
We love eating at Sal and Mookie’s. It’s one of my kids’ fav spots. I always order a $17 salad with chicken. My husband picks it up with a huge pizza for the kids. Gets home no chicken on my salad. We call. They tell us the manager checked it herself (what? are you saying we lied? do you need a picture?) after some back and forth we get to no issue they will make it up to us on the next visit and are refunding the added chicken. Ok, great. Today, my husband drops by makes another take out order. The girl says oh well we comp’d the chicken not the whole salad. No, unacceptable. We drove out there once and you provided something completely incorrect then actually argued about it. Now, we drive out there again. You should comp the whole salad. That’s the way to run a business to go above and beyond when you screw up, not just the absolute bare minimum necessary. Obviously, their management team needs some basic Biz 101 classes. This manager is completely over her head. We eat at the one downtown frequently, and I can tell you Jeff Good’s team would have handled this more appropriately. The food is good but this really leaves an absolute horrible taste in my mouth. Do better people!
