The he Atmosphere could be improved, unfortunately our table was located next to the door to the kitchen. The next time we are going to ask to not be seated there.
Lastly I had the Salmon it was cooked to perfection. My wife had Eggplant Parmigiana she said it was the Best! We will definitely go back a lot sooner than the first time!
The grilled calamari was bad. It tasted as if it were old. I ate one piece and thought it was my imagination. The second piece I had to spit out it was so bad. Unfortunately the place was closed by the time I started eating and unable to call them. Seeing the cost of the calamari was not cheap, it was a huge waste of money. It was a reminder not to by something like that when they probably don’t sell a lot of it, especially this time of year.
Sal and Tony’s did exactly that!
Service was great! From the man who helped us to the patio, *we had a stroller* to the buss boy, to the server.(Jana) Everyone was very helpful and friendly
We started with fried calamari which was cooked to perfection, our Pomegranate martinis were delicious and THE PIZZA!
THE PIZZA is exactly what I look for in a great thin crust pizza. We got the Sal’s special and it was AMAZING! Perfect thin crust super crunchy and had just the right amount of sauce, cheese and toppings. I can’t wait to come back with my husband. This will definitely be a new favorite of ours!
We ordered the Tony’s Special pizza but swapped the house meatball for ground beef (Italian sausage doesn’t play well with my stomach). The ricotta on this is a game changer. It makes the pizza taste like a light lasagna that is homemade. Definitely recommend! The thin crust is light and crispy so not too heavy overall.
We also had the Calamari Salad. Now, I am going to preface this by saying we have had grilled calamari all over the world, including Greece, and Sal and Tony’s was some of the best we have had. Not overly charred (thank you, cuz that just makes it bitter), super soft, well seasoned with garlic, olive oil and lemon and perfectly paired with romaine lettuce, Fontinella cheese & Kalamata olives.
Such an excellent combination and balance between the pizza and the salad. Perfect for this warm weather.
We will definitely be back. In fact, this is one of my new favorite spots to grab lunch/dinner and drinks.
To the owners and the staff, thanks for defying the odds and having a great restaurant on the course.
