This is a drive-thru only restaurant. The food is always fresh and hot. The service is fast. You don’t have to wait long in the drive-thru lane for your order. They also give you an abundance of food. You get more in the containers than you do elsewhere in the area.

They have lost us as customers. For the past month we have came here 3-4 times and every time it takes them 5 minutes to answer us through the drive thru and when we finally get to the window to receive our order they tell us to pull up and it will be just a second. Each time we wait 10-15 minutes. Tonight we ordered one California roll and it took them 20 minutes to even bring it out to us. It happening one time I understand but it is every single time we come here. It’s ridiculous. Not worth the time and money.

Ordered sesame chicken, and ended up getting teriyaki which i was kinda disappointed about at first. But the teriyaki was great, and also the lo mein noodles was some of the best I’ve had in a while! Ordered my daughter orange chicken, and rice which I’d say was lacking flavor, but compared to panda express I’d say they made up with it by having shrimp sauce unlike panda express which doesn’t serve shrimp sauce.
Honestly my expectations wasn’t high as most Chinese in the tricities isn’t good in my opinion, and I went there 15min before closing.
I usually prefer Japanese over Chinese but occasionally I crave Chinese. First time eating here will be back hopefully they are consistent with the lo mein as that is the biggest selling point for me as it was better than 99% of other places Japanese,or Chinese in the tricities.
Also the pricing is slightly cheaper than mcdonalds when it comes to meal to meal granted we didn’t get drinks.

*update apparently this place is Japanese? But it is more Chinese like than most Japanese places I’ve ate at in the tricities which lead me to believe it is Chinese*

Used to be my and my husband’s go to. We left for work and came back after a month and a half and it’s like the whole resturant went out the window. The food was bland. The sushi was 6 instead of 8. The prices are exaggerated and to top it off, the cashier taking my order told me if I tipped with my card, the MANAGERS GET THE TIP?!?!?!?! EXCUSE ME?!?!??! WHAT HAPPENED TO SAKURA…..I used to go here religiously….they knew my and my husband’s order by just his voice…. now we are going to find a new location to eat… when something perfect….don’t touch it…..

Got food poisoning and ended up in the ER after eating an order of sesame chicken from here. Never had an issue with the food here before. I don’t know if they just left the chicken out too long or used spoiled chicken but definitely won’t be going back for the foreseeable future.

This place used to be our go to for sushi. It was amazing! We always got the spicy crab and tuna with egg rolls. I don’t know if they changed owners recently or what but the people in the drive through are different now and the food is tasteless and made poorly. We got the same thing we always get, and they also jacked the prices up too! This has been the case the past two times we’ve been and this past time will be our last time at Sakura Japanese Steak House! It’s a shame because it used to be fantastic!

My husband and I used to order there at least once a week the food’s disgusting the sushi is gross. The price has gotten ridiculous and I don’t care how many times you try to make excuses for it. It’s wrong and whatever you’re doing you need to fix.

Went through the drive-thru and was greeted by a wonderful employee the other day. I attempted to leave a tip on my credit card, but was informed that any tips applied to a credit card go to the manager, not the employee. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE TIPS WHEN USING A CARD, THE EMPLOYEES DO NOT RECEIVE THEM! I will be contacting the BBB because this is unacceptable and not respectable business practice. If you are going to leave a tip, please use cash only as the actual employee will not get the tip. I take customer service very seriously…. Sakura Do better by your employees and do the right thing, it is because of customers and employees that you actually have a business. CHANGE YOUR WAYS AND GIVE THE EMPLOYEES WHAT THEY WORK FOR!!!

Not sure what happened to the Sakura in Kingsport. Seems as if they have new owners now. It used to be extremely delicious and easy on the wallet, and it was my favorite place for Asian cuisine in the Tri- Cities area. However, the workers have changed and the atmosphere has become extremely rude and disrespectful.

I’d like to mention the extreme price changes. I usually order a sesame chicken meal with extra chicken with two sushi rolls, and it used to total to around $15. Well, when I went there today to get my usual I paid $25. And also, the Sushi itself has gone downhill. It used to be the best in our area, now it tastes processed, looks thrown together, doesn’t contain sesame seeds, and comes in less quantity (6 rolls instead of 8).

I’m extremely disappointed in the change.
It’s kind of ridiculous that you’re now paying more for terrible quality, service, and sushi.
