Good budget friendly place. The steaks were small portions and rice and veggies were big portions. I got lobster and filet mignon combination for 45 and 2 pc shrimp for appetizer. The total bill for two people was 100 with drinks. I would not recommend the drinks there. The food was ok. The cleanliness was lacking in the restaurant. Everything was greasy and smoky. Ambiance I would give average.

This place always provides phenomenal service. The sushi is top tier and always very fresh. The hibachi is an absolute must-have with large portions. You have to give Sakura a try if you are into authentic Japanese food in a beautiful atmosphere.

Awesome place , you get your own cook after you choose what you want . Very delicious and fresh in front of you . You got more than you espect. Friendly staff . You got to go if you are in Potomac Mills . Just cross the street.

My family has been going to this Sakura and the one in Fairfax for years. This location has noodles so it has always been my favorite. Nothing much has changed here over the years. Hibachi is good, service and experience is good. I do feel like the place could use some updated carpet though..

The entrance is as welcoming as you can get on a Monday. Place wasn’t crowded, but on a Monday evening, there were 3 tables full of people, which is usually a great news. As we sat on the fourth table, that as well didn’t take too long to fill up. These are definitely good signs for a teppanyaki restaurant.

We arrived late. Only 20 minutes before they closed for 2:00 p.m. We attended a disabled veterans’ home going service in DC. The first cooked plainly refused. The second cook was accommodating and showed us much grace. We gave him a very large tip for graciously accommodating us.

For years this has been my favorite Japanese Steakhouse to go to despite the other one being right up the street and it is actually GREAT however, Sakura always gives me more food and since I love the food, I rather have more than less. However, on my birthday this year (June 13th), we had a reservation for 20 people and upon arriving, I was immediately turned off. I first noticed that the older couple who are always at the hostess station were not there. The man there on this day was flat out nasty. I went to check in, there were at least 8 of us there by that time and he said all 20 had to be there before we could be seated. So we went and had some pre drinks at the bar (waiter missed out). As more people arrived for our party, I went back and he was so rude he even put up his hand (open palm) as if saying “don’t talk to me”. I asked if there had been a change in ownership because I had always been treated kindly before. He said same owners but he was the “Manager”. I again asked to be seated and he asked how many of us were there, I told him about 15, he said we need all 20. After a while, were were all there except 2 people and we went and told him we needed to be seated. Again he put his hand up and went to check on something then he finally pointed us to our table. Once at the table, we weren’t getting any service and he kept coming around asking about the 2 missing people. We told him they may or may not show. He kept returning until we said that they were on the way because we had confirmed it. It was very stressful! After much waiting, we finally were able to order drinks and eventually our food. I do not plan on returning to this place unless someone tells me this man is no longer there. I will be going to the other Steakhouse nearby which is way better in terms of environment and I’ll just have to bit the bullet and maybe order double of certain things but at least I’ll be treated with dignity and respect.

It’s hit or miss. This time it was a hit with the host, the server, the chef. Portions are always generouse. The prices have significantly gone up. Our bill was almost double our usual amount.

The food was good but I’m not too impressed. I dont want to take away from anyone who enjoys this place but it feels like its missing something. Try for yourself and see, each experience may be different since there are different chefs. Chef was friendly and gave good service. Just not as good as some of the other hibachi I’ve had.
