Dear Management,
I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding an incident that occurred recently at Sakura Germantown MD involving a server named Victor.
I have been a loyal customer of Sakura for over 20 years. I dine at your restaurant regularly—at least three times a week—and I also frequently place delivery orders. Because of this long-standing relationship, I was extremely surprised and upset by the unprofessional behavior I experienced.
During my visit, Victor was rude and used inappropriate language toward me, including cursing. This behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect the level of service I have come to expect from Sakura over the years.
I value Sakura and have always enjoyed both the food and the service, which is why this incident was particularly disappointing. I believe this matter deserves serious attention, as such conduct can damage the reputation of a restaurant that many loyal customers trust and support.
I hope that appropriate action will be taken to ensure this does not happen again. I would appreciate a follow-up regarding how this issue will be addressed.

My husband and I visited last weekend for the first time, and it was pretty good. They were understaffed the night we came, so our bartender was running around trying to help his colleagues. Not a huge deal, but it did make out wait a little longer. I’m assuming this is why the restaurant was in disarray; not dirty, but unorganized. Those are my only suggestions, everything else was great! Our bartender was very nice and made us laugh the entire time. The food was delicious! I’d definitely like it if they started offering noodles with their teppanyaki, but it was still good regardless. The cocktails are also good, and very strong. It was a nice experience for the most part. We would definitely return!

How the mighty have fallen.
I’ve been coming here for 20 years, and I just had my last visit. I moved to Florida a couple years ago and I was so excited to be back and pay Sakura a visit. Too bad.
The chef we got was a complete amateur, food tasted like garbage. He doused everything in so much soy sauce that it was the only thing I could taste in the whole meal. There were a couple of veteran chefs left, but you’ll be lucky if you get one. I’m so sad.
If you are thinking about visiting because of fond memories like I did, don’t ruin them by coming now. Savor the memory of that delicious food instead, because you probably won’t get it again.

This place deserves better as the chefs are fun and the food is tasty the hostess at the front had a terrible attitude and rather argue on the phone with whomever than assist. My cousin had a broken leg and she refuse to let her sit even though the place was empty and her dad was only parking as we had to drop her in front. From there the service only got worse. But the chefs were fun and meal was ok. They probably should consider getting a hostess that cares and wait staff with less attitude. I understand its tough but we are still paying customers and deserve a little better treatment.

We went there for a birthday celebration.
They have us seat on a 9 people unwashed table with wet chairs, mess up filthy carpet full of waste rice grains and drink from a broken greasy cup.
I never seen or encountered that in a US restaurant. The manager has been ghosted the entire dinner after facing the cruel reality.
The food was just fine we couldn’t really enjoy ourselves.
I usually tip well, above average but the service was one of the poorest
especially when we ate there… I will never recommend this place !!!

We have eaten here at Sakura Japanese Steak, Seafood House and Sushi Bar for almost two decades. Love the food and the service we receive each time we come. I recommend that you make a reservation as some nights they are extremely busy.
Tonight we ordered various hibachi items. Personally I had the filet and shrimp. Love the mixture of surf and turf. You have a choice of fried rice or white rice, and an appetizer (shrimp, mushrooms or chicken livers). You get the miso soup and a salad. The dressing is excellent. For dipping sauces you can get yum yum sauce or a ginger sauce. I prefer two orders of the yum yum sauce, but have had the ginger sauce in the past. Chef also cooks up vegetables, which is very good.
Chef is excellent. Checks each person to make sure they have the correct order and the temperatures of any meat orders. Fried rice is excellent and the “show” he puts on is a lot of fun for all kids and people of all ages. The server who is responsible for taking our orders and bringing drinks was very good. Quick to bring refills and clean empty dishes.
Overall a great experience. Love to eat here. Others in my party always have left overs, but not me. Too good.

Hospitality is so hard to find but i must say this place was really good to me and my family. They showed us good customer service still exists. After practice we came in late not realizing they closed in 30 mins they sat us down served us and entertained us. Everyone was polite. I am thankful we stopped in. You guys made our family dinner night amazing. Not to mention the cook was amazing and fun!

We dined-in on the weekend before Valentine around lunch time and it took an hour before the food actually came out. I think it was mainly because they were waiting for the table to fill up with more people. The food was good, the show entertaining, and the staff was attentive. If you plan to go there hungry, order a sushi or something not teppanyaki while you wait.

This is my third time visiting this place ,but yesterday kind of left me bitter I made a reservation for nine people , the staff was very young and unprofessional even tho they were very polite . Our table was very dirty but was taking care of after a couple complaints. The food is always good and the chef always fun.
