We love Sakura Steak House! It’s our go to place for celebrating with our family. We love getting dinner and “a show” with the sizzling entertainment. The chefs and waitstaff are always professional and fun to be around. Sushi is also freshly made and delicious. The kids LOVE the fire show at the table!

We have been in Calvert for 8-years but only just got around to visiting Sakura this evening, and we were not disappointed. Our server was a beautifully friendly and competent young lady, our chef was personable… and the food was delicious. The salad was fresh, the soup was awesome and my meal (chicken and shrimp w/fried rice) was fresh and delicious. We will be going back for sure.

Tried this place out because it was walking distance from hotel. This hibachi style restaurant was nice. Other than hibachi they also have sushi station. Yum yum sauce is good with everything. The cook was great. Service was excellent. Price was average for hibachi.

We are somewhat new to Calvert County, so we tried after our neighbor suggested this Sakura location. We ordered two hibachi meals, first it was extremely greasy and not good, but they also forgot our soups and salads. When I called to let the people know that this happened I said I don’t want anyone to get in trouble, but I would like to make sure that this gets brought up to make sure that it doesn’t happen to anyone else. They assured me that the next time we come there for our second time visiting their establishment, we would be comped in some sort of way. It is now four weeks later June 2022 and I called to see what they could do, so that we could be longtime customers, but we were met with not finding that we were there before. I said I have a credit card and can give you an exact date of when we were there for the first time, after they were acting like we were never there before and couldn’t find us in the “system” They were acting like I was some random person trying to get free food. I told them that it was worse than having Sakura Express and at that point the person on the phone gave me to the manager, when I asked for him out of disbelief. When the manager began to talk to me he immediately was rude and disrespectful. I told him the same story that I told the person that answered the phone and he replied“ I guess you need to go back to Sakura express“ by that comment I was extremely shocked and I asked for his bosses name and he said “ that you don’t need to know his name or mine“ I replied to him that if this is the way he manages this establishment, this is exactly why people have so many bad situation‘s at this location, and that I will make sure I get a hold of the managers boss/owner so that he/she can understand that they have that kind of worker managing and running this establishment, while losing money. The manager should be ashamed of himself and should find a new job. I have worked In many restaurants and to be called a manager is a right and a important piece to the restaurant and the person that I talked to is not even close to a manager, but a worker that isn’t a leader by any stretch. He is the exact reason why this location is failing and keeps getting bad reviews.

GREAT SUSHI ! So many options than any other place I’ve went to for sushi. Great drinks and amazing, friendly staff ! My husband and I are locals and we come here pretty often cause it’s so good !

Wednesday at noon we were the only people there. Sushi chef was helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Reasonably priced for very fresh fish. Crunchy toro roll and playboy roll were our favorites.
