First time trying this sushi bar. It’s a cute, cozy, and quiet dine. I was greeted immediately, seated, waited, and served so quickly. I ordered the Spicy Beach Roll. A very tender-type fish meat blend with sweet notes. I also ordered hot jasmine tea to drink. Overall lovely, intimate experience

Our experience at this restaurant was somewhat confusing. While we were ordering, we had questions for our server. Who did not clearly explain the menu or the way we were ordering. Our server tried to take certain included.
Items off of the entree I was ordering and double charge our children for the items since I did not want them and I was going to give them to the children upon receiving it. On our bill We noticed price increases on certain items Vs what was shown on the menu. Whenever we confronted our server about this, she told us the prices had been updated in the computer and not on the menu and then showed us a different menu with higher prices. We told her that was false advertising. She cannot charge us those higher prices. Because the menus she gave us showed the items at a lower price. We had a party of five The server also included twenty percent gratuity For herself did not notify us this before ordering, But we saw it on our bill. The bill also asked if we wanted to tip extra.Of course we did not. It also was not advertised anywhere that a party of 5 or more out be auto charged the gratuity. It was myself my husband and 3 children. Was Pretty shady not legal.

Sakura is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Virginia Beach. I usually get the teriyaki or hibachi chicken, and it’s always delicious.

If you’re dining in, the service is great and super fast. And if you’re getting takeout, the food still tastes just as good when you get home always hot, fresh, and flavorful.

A reliable, tasty spot for Japanese food. Highly recommend!

Awesome appetizers & plenty of veggie options! The service was quick, staff was kind & attentive, the atmosphere was relaxed & welcoming. Love that they have a little veggie sushi section on the menu. We’ll be back!

I went early to avoid the dinner “rush”. I’ve been here numerous times & it hasn’t changed. Service is quick & efficient, friendly & polite. Their sushi rolls are very good. I usually get the Ichiban roll & the spicy girl roll.. this used to be in a combo for a good price but they don’t do combos any longer. They were festive w/the decorations since it’s the holiday season. I like this place. In & out quick & full!

Really good overall. Appetizers were amazing. I feel like the noodles were not enough portion for the price I paid. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars.

This place used to be good. But after my last take out order I will not go back. Order was incorrect and when I returned to the restaurant they were very rude and did not correct the issue. Very bad customer service. Avoid!

Got sushi take out from here. Got the sushi deluxe, spicy tuna roll, and agadashi tofu/age tofu. For a sushi fix, the “sushi regular” or “sushi delux” is an excellent value to cure your craving. Good variety, and good slices of fish on the sushi pieces, not real thin or skimpy like from a buffet, but nice pieces like you’d expect from upscale sushi dining. Everything tasted fresh and good. Really good assortment with the sushi deluxe, pretty much had all the items I wanted. And the spicy tuna roll was above average, great flavor, good ingredients. I honestly think the regular and deluxe combos are the best value for sushi lovers here, you could make an impressive party spread from 4 orders of the sushi deluxe(40pc + 4 rolls + 4 soups, for under 100) rather than doing a boat or the 49.95 combos. For a solo feast the sushi regular is probably enough, and a spicy roll by itself great lunch over McDonald’s. If picking up for coworkers could split a sushi deluxe between 3 people for $8 a person and would be a good meal at fast food price. I probably ordered more than I needed, everything you see here plus a $7 tip and tax was $50 flat, which is really good with the tuna and snapper and salmon included in the combo. If you order take out, they’ll have it ready immediately, almost as fast as a fast food order, so be ready to pick it up right when you order. Fast service, great quality, great variety, great value. Two thumbs up.

Food was descent. Wish it was actually Japanese food, Japanese owned and Japanese run. It’s hard to still find a place like that. Really wanted katsu karé but not available here so just settled for the regular katsu. Dried tuna in the Kamimazi roll was very tough and chewy.
