Bright, clean, and awesome Japanese pop music. The service is quick, not bubbly friendly but efficient and professional. This is fine by me. The service was quick at 4:30pm dinner time on a Thursday with a few other tables. Miso soup, delicious, the green tea was wonderful and savory. I ordered a few different rolls and really enjoyed the variety! Definitely check out this place. My uncle treated me and his good friend for her birthday and it was quick service for all 3 of us to get 3 different rolls, salad, and soups.

After reading all the great reviews decided to give this a place a try. Went there for dinner last night for my friend birthday. Called in advance to make a reservation for a party of 8. When we arrived we were taken to a private room which was nice. Waited a bit for our waitress to take our order. The food came quickly after we placed our order. We noticed a bunch of the stuff was given to us which we did not order and there where things we ordered which was completely missing. We ordered sashimi but instead they gave us that sushi version which came with rice. So I feel like they were trying to be sneaky and to fill us up. Then also notice even though it’s an ayce sushi they limit you to 50 pieces of sashimi and they sashimi was diced up into cubes and not slices of fish. So it’s like u in reality they dice the fishes into about 3-4 pieces as compared to regular pieces of sashimi so even if they say limit 50 pieces you getting like about 10-12 pieces for the price. When we were ready to order more we waited over 30 minutes before they even come back to take our next order. The quality of the fish was just ok. I guess for $28 a person you can’t really expect high quality sushi. If I’m around the area and craving for sushi I might return but I would not travel out of my way for it.

2 to 3 years ago, Sakura was legit one of the better AYCE spots in the Tri-State area.

Whether it was food from the sushi bar, kitchen, or even the dessert which is only available during dinner.

However, on my most recent trip a year ago, the quality had fallen off. I don’t know if something was off that day, but considering the distance I had to travel to get here, I wasn’t willing to take my chance again.

They have a good selection of items from both the sushi bar and the kitchen.

No matter what, you need to try their chicken skewers. Absolutely delicious.

Hope they get their quality back.

Their service is on the friendlier side compared to other AYCE locations.

Overall, you can get a tasty meal here at Sakura if it’s the Sakura I remember. And being located in Delaware, no taxes on your bill!

My biggest gripe with Sakura is limiting each customer with 50 pieces of Sashimi. An AYCE should be AYCE without such restrictions.

And in my many trips here, despite there being a limit on sashimi, they never give you what your order.

For example, I order 20 pieces of yellowtail sashimi, but I only get 5. The sushi bar needs to be more accurate with their orders.

-Food was delicious and presented beautifully.
-Restaurant appeared clean including the restroom.
-Nice ambiance with TV entertainment.
-Comfortable seating.
-Poor customer service. Waiter not very friendly. It’s as if they were hiding behind the mask.
-Price $18.95 per person whether adult or child before 3pm. It’s truly an all you can eat, don’t order more than you can eat or you pay additional for take out.

Overall, nice restaurant if you love sushi/rolls.

EDIT: I’ve been a regular at this place and have always loved it, but my last two visits were disappointing. The food quality has declined, and the customer service was even worse. The staff seemed unusually grouchy, and my sashimi order was poorly handled. During my previous visit, the server was visibly annoyed when I requested a couple of pieces of lime or lemon and only brought one. After two bad experiences, I won’t be returning. They’ve lost a loyal customer.

This is such a good sushi restaurant. Amazing quality. Good service. Sushi rolls are very good. I also like their aged tofu a lot. Sashimi is good. Smoked salmon – eh not my favorite.

Food is excellent. Fish are fresh. Portions are generous. The BBQ squid is a must try. The only negative point I have is their ordering process. Instead of having a paper with all the items listed so we can check off and write how many we want, the waitress stood there and write down what we want – very prone to human error. But that’s not going to stop me from going back though. First all you can eat sushi restaurant of this caliber in DE, let’s keep it open.

2023-07-02 Update: Overall, we still enjoyed our dinner but we were disappointed on a couple things 1) although understandably, they put a limit, still a generous limit, on the number of pieces of sashimi you can order before they start charing a $.50 per piece fee. 2) the quality of fish was not good at all. They were subpar. The scallops had no taste, tasted like frozen. I hope it’s just this one time and not a change of their business model. We’ll probably go back but if fish quality is still bad, then probably not.

Sushi is pretty good. $30/ person after tip and tax for all you can eat. Non sushi items such as fried rice and age tofu are below average though. We only recommend getting sushi! Our waiter was attentive. Overall 4.5/5.0. The 0.5 is for non sushi items not so great and they don’t have sashimi.

We come about once a month usually for lunch prices. Fast service. Amazing quality sushi. I’ve even been eating select items through pregnancy as it seems great quality. For my birthday recently and to celebrate holidays.

A great place to experience different Japanese dishes. We came for the all-you-can-eat lunch and we weren’t disappointed. We ordered various specialty rolls, sushi, soup and seaweed salad, and they were all made-to-order and of very good quality. There’s a full stock bar, the dinning room is decorated with an Asian touch and quite airy. The wait staff was warm and welcoming. There were 2 sushi chefs during lunch hours and they were quite capable in keeping the orders filled quickly. Good food, great service and exceptional value, we will definitely be back for more.
4/14/2021: It’s been over a year since we were there for dinner. It has the same high quality of food and services, and the best part was that they kept the same price for the all-you-can-eat sushi dinner buffet.
6/14/2021: They have recently raised the lunch price for all-you-can-eat sushi. However, for $15+, it’s still the best value in town. And the great service hasn’t degraded during this tight labor marketplace.
