They keep same prices but the quality of food is getting poor. I would rather pay more and get what they used to serve.
Also, the waiters have no manners or any kindness…. So sad
Things seemed promising based on the atmosphere and vibe. But things went downhill as soon as we tried the miso soup.
Full disclosure: the food was bad. I would absolutely not recommend anything with seafood. Miso soup was bland. Edamame was microwaved to extinction and had no bite. Miso cod portion was sad, and so was the overly sweet glaze. Negimaki was way too sweet. Sushi was terrible quality. WAY too much rice. Fish smelled way too fishy and had no bite either. Even the chicken terryaki was overly sweet. I regret my entire order.
The servers interrupted the table conversation at least a dozen times to ask if they could clear plates away. It seemed like they were hovering way more than was necessary to an uncomfortable degree. It was excessive and truly took away from the experience.
The most bizarre part was when the check came. The server waited until I counted my cash before opening up the bill at the table and started COUNTING the cash right then and there. Bizarre. This is the part that forced me to write a review. I can’t believe I have to say this, but counting cash at the table at a restaurant as a server is CRAZY. Is this even real life? Am I in a simulation? Am I Morpheus? What is happening. Relax, you’re still getting 20%.
The staff is super friendly, but please train them to have some chill and basic server skills. This was particularly painful to experience as a former server at a Japanese restaurant. I will not be returning indefinitely.
Would stop by again if I’m in the area, but won’t do an effort to drive there for the restaurant alone.
Food: …
The sashimi we ordered was good but unfortunately the prawn tempura batter was too heavy so that dish was disappointing.
Slightly on the expensive for what we ordered.
