Sashimi and Sushi was fresh, the Sashimi being particularly delicious with a wonderful assortment of fish. Friendly and attentive service. Great Pork Gyoza and freshly fried Vegetable Tempura. The miso soup and salad with house dressing were flavorful additions as well. The Steak Teriyaki was a bit tough so I would just stick to sashimi/sushi and appetizers next time.

Lovely little restaurant tucked away un downtown Waukesha. Tasted of great quality fish and other ingredients. Out server was amazingly sweet, upbeat and responsive. Will definitely be going back to dine-in as well as ordering out.

I never write reviews but this place went above and beyond! Came here to celebrate my 20th birthday with my friends and family and our waitress went above and beyond. Coming in I requested a table for 9 people and was seated immediately after the staff moved tables and chair around for us. Our waitress was very patient while we waited for our table to arrive. Taking our order she was very friendly as well, and all our food came out at the same time. She also gave me a special glass with stars on it since I was the birthday girl, haha, and kept referring to me as such. My sister made a cake for me and was nervous about it being allowed in, but our waitress was very kind about it and even asked to try some lol. It was very sweet. She even brought me out a little mochi with a lot candle in it as well, and put tinfoil on the bottom of the candle so wax didn’t melt on it. We used that same candle on my birthday cake, and my sister in law tried lighting a match but she was too far away and it went out before reaching the candle. Our waitress offered to light it for us right away. She was very attentive to all our needs!
Long story short, our food was really good, it was a cute ambiance, and everyone enjoyed our time here. Thank you so much, you went all out!!

A nice little sushi place. Ordered nigiri dinner but received sashimi dinner. Waitress very apologetic and fixed it as fast as possible. I will say that the sushi didn’t live up to the hype of some of these reviews though. Since there are a lot of sushi restaurants I probably would choose a better one next time.

Good service, the lady was very nice, even after she seen I was just the delivery guy. The atmosphere is really nice I like how they have it setup. I looks like an upscale type of place when u walk in, but you can tell these people are hard working and I felt like her enthusiasm was genuine. She see that I was tired from being in the hot sun. So she asked me to take a seat and she would bring it to me. Only reason I’m not going a 5 star is because I didn’t actually eat here. I honestly probably would have never came to this place if it wasn’t for a delivery, but it’s nice to see some of the businesses down town have good people.

I’ve been driving by this restaurant for years and finally decided I needed to try it out. I’m so glad I did! The food and service was outstanding hands down. Construction in the area can make parking a bit challenging, but it’s worth the walk. Consider visiting this little jewel in downtown Waukesha, I know I will.

Went to Sakura Japan for my birthday, had a wonderful evening. Sake was smooth, sushi was beautiful and tasty, must try their pork dumpling! I ordered the beef boolgogi and my boyfriend ordered chickenkatsu. Always starts with a nice salad with a peanut dressing, entrees come with miso and AMAZING white rice. 10/10 definitely coming here again.

We probably caught them on a really really bad day because our sushi was absolutely disgusting. We couldn’t even finish it, which is a definite first for us. We love our sushi. I ordered the spicy salmon roll and it was all cucumber covered in spicy mayo. There was no salmon to be found. I told our waiter that my roll was not what I had ordered and he just walked away without saying anything to me. I couldn’t believe it. I finally muster up the courage to ask for what I pay for and I get ignorance in return. The Green Sky roll was absolutely disgusting. It was swimming in a citrus sauce and the entire roll tasted like someone soaked it in lemons and lemon juice. We couldn’t believe we paid $15 for that monstrosity. I saw another reviewer on here had it and posted a picture. Ours looked nothing like that. Imagine that entire bottom of that plate covered in lemon juice… that was ours. Other people may like this food, but the service and quality was absolutely negative for both of us. Waste of money.
