The sushi side was okay. The shumai was too soft and watery. Its dipping sauce was very spicy. I think horseradish was in it. The California Sashimi, on the other hand, was very tasty and fresh.

My boyfriend and I always come here before going to the movies. From my boyfriend. he said he didn’t really like the ramen but the taste for me was pleasant. I usually get sushi, but i got the Beef Kushiyaki and it was delicious. I haven’t seen it before and I’m glad i got to taste it. The Orange Blossom Sushi, looks so pretty and I didn’t know it came with an egg yolk. I don’t eat wontons, but they’re decent. The Dragon Roll is full but it tastes spicy and sweet. Our waiter was really kind and wasn’t a problem. The food did take a while to prepare, but i assume it’s because we order sushi and other food. It’s surprising that we get seated by the same area we would eat, but it wasn’t a problem either. Overall, I like coming here and eating their sushi. I haven’t tried the teppanyaki yet so I’ll save it for another day

First time visiting this restaurant. To star with, We arrived at 1:00 PM party of 12 reservation as a guest. The hostess told us we have to wait for the rest of our party, totally understandable but then she said “Please contact all your party friends, “not in the nicest attitude” your cut-out time is until 1:40 pm for everyone to arrived.” I told her “I am sorry but I am just a guest ” She insisted for us to contact everyone else in our party. Definitely feels like Debbie Downer welcoming.

This is the best location we walked in without a reservation and had to wait at least 35 mins. We went to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and wow we tried out the vampire blood it was sooo good added a kick to the food. The food was not salty at all very delicious

Delicious food and the chefs are always very entertaining! Our server seemed like she had a lot on her plate but she still provided excellent service delivering the soup, salad, and our appetizer, as well as refilling our drinks in a timely manner. I’m not usually a huge fan of red meat, but the sukiyaki style beef was fantastic!

I enjoyed Sakura Chaya a lot. I went by myself and got the chirashi and got the j&j role. Huge servings of food I ate maybe a quarter of what I ordered if not less. Walking in there was no wait, the booth I had was comfortable and it only took maybe a few seconds to get waited on for my drink order. Menus are huge and there’s a lot to it. There are also many drinks options but I just got water. My server who I didn’t catch the name of was quick to grab me what I asked for and helpful when I asked questions about the food and desserts. Everything tasted fresh and made well and with care. The music they play is very subtle and there is no noise from the kitchen or anything. It’s a cozy environment that I really enjoyed. I got the tempura ice cream and it was great. I highly recommend getting the ice-cream there is also tempura cheesecake that I didn’t try but it might be a good bet if you like cheesecake it’s definitely good to try tempura desserts for a first time here. All together it’s a 10/10 for me. I had no issues I spent about 58 dollars there and I made sure to tip relatively well. I highly recommend it if you enjoy seafood or any Japanese food that’s great quality.

My family and I came here for my birthday and it was a great experience. Our chef was amazing; very entertaining and had a lot of jokes for the kids which made them happy. I will definitely be back when in Clovis.

Food was good, I’m just kinda getting hung up on the lack of cleanliness. We had the teppanyaki dinner service. The hot plate on which the food was cooked still had bits of food from the previous cook (our cook did good job wiping the hot plate down before beginning though) and the area where the cook stands had food morsels as well. I’m starting to wonder if A this normal for this type of restaurant or B we just haven’t been to great teppanyaki restaurant just yet? All in all, we are kinda getting turned off of teppanyaki restaurants.

The experience was enjoyable. Our chef wasn’t as flamboyant as other Tepenyaki chefs, but the food tasted great. Perfectly timed, no long pauses. The dishes were cleared away quickly and it wasn’t extremely hot or smoky in there. I had the lunch special w/lemon wedged water. Total cost was $21.04… added a $5 tip. I’ll go again.
