This is the second time we have been here. The last time was 7 years ago and we truly missed it. The sushi is so fresh. We have yet to find a better sushi bar in Mississippi!! When have a toddler sipping miso soup you know you’ve got it right!

THE very best sushi restaurant in all of Hattiesburg and its surrounding areas! When you’re inside, it feels like you’re in Japan. They happen to have my favorite sushi roll anywhere: The Hawaiian Roll. I haven’t had a roll from there that I didn’t like, so far. Usually I get my favorite plus one extra roll that I haven’t tried yet. Their squid salad is very tasty as well. The staff is very nice and very attentive. Lastly, their bento box meals are a pretty sweet option as well. Try one of those out when you get the chance!

From start to finish everything was superb! My favorite was the Saruka roll, it was yummy as it was pretty. And our server Bailey was by far one of the sweetest we’ve ever had. Will admit the parking was limited, but that’s the only thing I can really say to a negative effect. Would definitely recommend trying them out.

I have been here several times over the years. Anytime I come to Hattiesburg, I have to have Sakura’s Hawaii role. This restaurant has a hole-in-the-wall college-town atmosphere. This is a fun spot to go to with friends.
The soft drinks have been a little on the flat side but the sushi is great. I’ve never had a bad sushi roll but my absolute favorite is the Hawaii role. The Holly role is a close second.

Food was pretty good and service was good too. Great place to get sushi, they have a lot of options for sushi. If you aren’t into raw sushi, they have a decent amount of cooked sushi, udon, teriyaki, and rice dishes.

Solid choice for sushi. Fish seemed to be fresh and presentation was really good. Seaweed salad was typical, which is a good thing. The Mushroom Teriyaki was a little bland, but probably well suited for most folks.
The service was touch and go. Food came out in waves. The ppl that ordered hibachi didn’t get their food until everyone who had sushi was finished eating. Wait staff seemed stressed and there were only like 5 tables with diners. FB says they’ve been in business since 2000. This should be simple stuff by now.
