Sakura is our favorite local sushi place. They are always friendly and service is fast. They are also very good with gluten-free requests. Staff can tell you exactly what is safe to eat, and most rolls can be modified to be gluten-free!

Flew into late, but Sakura was open until 2130. Pleasant staff. Good food. Sweet potato tempura was good. The steak and salmon hibachi was delicious. Spices tuna roll was good. Pumpkin cheesecake (to go) was quite good.

The food was soooo good! I ordered the teriyaki shrimp bento box, so clever! Nice atmosphere, not too busy on a Monday evening, and staff was friendly! Will definitely be back on my next visit through State College!

Excellent Japanese food in State College. We had an appetizer and a main dish each and it all came reasonably fast and it was amazing. The place is very well put together too, and the staff is nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Two for lunch on a Thursday. We were seated quickly, although the servers were quite busy and it took a while to order. They have lunch specials at reasonable prices (see my photo of this menu page). Food came out quickly and was tasty. Servers refilled our waters many times throughout the meal. Overall a good experience.

The food here was ok; it did the job and was fresh. However, I definitely feel like the flavors could’ve been deepened for a better dining experience. The interiors were lovely and the service was even lovelier. We really enjoyed how hospitable and at home we felt at Sakura. If we give this another shot, we will definitely try their bento boxes and their Teppanyaki.

Ordered Sushi, they make fresh on spot! Loved all the flavors! They have some great Hibachi Item, my all time favorite is Salmon Hibachi. Little expensive and not the best service, but the food quality is one of the best. Very quiet and plenty of seating and parking space. They have a drive through option, which often helps.

The chicken was very chewy and the so call yum yum sauce was way to mayonnaise tasting I think prison food would’ve tasted better they only good tasting thing there was the sushi if you eat anything else you might have to see the doctor for how much you will be in bathroom over. The food was way expensive

We had a wonderful experience dining at the Sakura restaurant. We ordered the snow crab legs shrimp boil. It was such a feast, particularly, my kid enjoyed very much of the all hands-on and mouse watering experience with eating juicy mussels, cracking snow crab legs, as well as the mild spicy corn and potato. The smile makes it definitely a fun family night out. In addition, the sushi chef also made two special sushi dishes for us (they are not even on the menu yet), very yummy and fancy. Highly recommended!
