This is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in town! Whenever I’m craving ramen, this is my go-to spot. The ramen is always delicious and surprisingly affordable. The restaurant itself is spacious, and the free parking is definitely a bonus. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!

I think if you are looking for a safe Japanese – inspired restaurant then you found it. I definitely think the food quality is a strong 4/5. Ramen is where they really shine and the lunch specials are quite nice.
The staff is reasonably nice and they do try.
The atmosphere is not my favorite as it gets loud and you can really smell all of the food smells.
I either visit the location or order from them at least every 3 weeks and will continue to do so as it is the best Japanese – inspired restaurant in Bloomington

Came here for lunch. The egg roll was tasty but a bit oily on the outside. The fried rice tasted like it came from a wok that wasn’t especially clean, and the beef was tough, dry, and didn’t taste fresh. I had two pieces of eel sushi that were sloppily assembled, and the rice fell apart when I dipped it in soy sauce. There was a large group of about 20 students that made the place very noisy.
They seem to want to be a discount restaurant or something. Everything on the menu has a fake inflated price that’s crossed out next
to the actual price (which is a fake discount, I guess). I’d personally pay a few bucks more for better quality food.

Great food for a good price. The Pepsi is very syrupy, so I would advise to steer clear.

Our 1st time here. I was very pleased with the variety of choices on the Menu. The “Best” Eggroll is have ever had! The Hibachi Chicken & Rice was very filling and very delicious. The waitress heard us talking about it being my daughter’s birthday and after we were done eating, brought her out a dessert (on the house). We have decided to make Sakura 15 part of our “family frequently visited” restaurants.

This place is excellent, exceeded all my expectations. The lady who served me was very nice, the sushi chef gets props. The sushi is top notch for Bloomington. Roles are large, presentation is art work. They use raw fish and real crab meat. Overall fantastic!!

The noodles was from a 27 cent pack of instant ramen you can tell because the noodles where I instant noodles because the diameter is consistent (hand pulled noodles aren’t the same diameter throughout) and the noodles where squiggly (a sign of them being flash fried and put in a plastic bag/ cup to be ate later) the egg is supposed to be soft boiled not hard boiled and the broth was saltier than the ocean I got tonkotsu ramen which is a pork bone broth yes you get soy sauce added to the broth but it’s supposed to be a savory broth not so salty you can’t eat it I have had ramen in 10 states and in Japan it’s self and I’ve always enjoyed it (Japans is the best with a small hole in the wall place in Columbus Indiana being 2nd runner up) I could barely eat 5 slurps of my bowl before I thought my heart was going to explode and launch me to the moon this is the single worst ramen shop I have ever had and I wish people stop going here before they leave wanting to puke and being highly unsatisfied you pay $15 for a pack of 27 cent ramen with $2 of stuff added ♂️ also they didn’t ask if I wanted sweet and sour sauce on my egg roll they just added it a ruined it they didn’t even put it to the side so I had the option to try the sauce or not

Took my husband there tonight for his birthday and I can say we have found our sushi spot. We’re from out of town staying in Bloomington temporarily and we decided to give this place a shot. The service was great. Our server was right on top of things and the food was impeccable! The sushi was so fresh and absolutely delicious. Everything was plated so nicely and came out steaming hot. I got the chicken bento box which comes with a sushi roll and then I ordered the “yummy roll” I believe. It was so good and way too much food! Lol we had to get to go boxes. My husband ordered the rainbow roll and the dinosaur roll. He loved both of them as well. We also got this interesting appetizer and it was crab and cream cheese fried with avocado on top and sauce. Everything looked so good so we kinda ordered everything!

Sushi made fresh to order. Everything was delicious! As someone who lived on the coast for 18 years with access to fresh seafood, this will definitely be a go to anytime I’m in the area for work. Trust me, if your sushi roll falls apart it’s because it was super freshly made. If that bothers you and you’re getting takeout, simply get home and put it in your fridge for 10-15 minutes. Problem solved! Will be back for sure!

My wife and I had an amazing first experience at Sakura 15. The staff was friendly, service was pleasant, food was amazing, and environment was presentable. We ordered Pho, Sushi, and Lo Mein – I would personally recommend all three. Prices are fair to surrounding like-resturaunts. Will gladly be coming back!
