Absolutely loved this spot! The drinks were really good and the sushi was super fresh. Highly recommend the Drop It Like It’s Hot roll—incredible!!! The staff truly made the experience even better: our waiter was fun and attentive, and the manager came over to check in. Everyone was genuinely so kind. The atmosphere is adorable too—everything is pink inside with a really nice ambiance. Definitely a place I’d recommend and can’t wait to go back to with friends.

I came in for a Saturday night cocktail and ended up ordering some wagyu sliders and edamame as an appetizer. I was surprised at how good the sliders were. It didn’t hurt that the bartender and I shared some banter while he made my cocktail even though it was pretty busy. The food came out quick, the service was clean and welcoming, I’m definitely come back to check out the rest of the menu if it holds up to the apps.

Service and food was good. We got seated quickly on a Saturday night.

My only complaint is that we ordered a roll that had cbd infused spicy mayo. I am pregnant and didn’t see the cbd (there weren’t any special stars or notation next to the roll). The waiter didn’t say anything when we ordered either. I didn’t realize until I had two pieces and the server asked if we were feeling “relaxed” that there was anything in it.

I, of course, started panicking and called my doctor. She said it was likely a small amount and not to worry.

My only feedback would be a notation on the menu next to the roll – maybe capitalize or highlight the ‘cbd spicy mayo’ , put it in a separate section, or confirm when someone orders it.

Came to Saku around 6:30 with my husband and our 4-month-old for an early dinner, and it was such a great experience. The gentleman who seated us (I think his name was Dave or Steve?) was incredibly friendly, funny, and made us feel welcome right away—even joked that no matter how cold it is outside, there’s always room for ice cream .

He recommended one of the flight specials to my husband, which he really enjoyed, and the food was excellent. They were out of the watermelon cocktail I wanted, but I ordered a smoked pineapple cocktail instead and it was amazing—wish I remembered the name (apparently it was an anime reference).

As we were heading out—just as it was getting busy and our baby was getting fussy—we were surprised with a small takeout bag that had a slice of cake and mochi inside. Such a thoughtful touch.

Really appreciated how welcoming and accommodating everyone was, especially dining out with a baby. So glad we live nearby!

The food was incredibly tasteless. I ordered the sushi combo, and it was the worst sushi I’ve ever had! Even the classic cocktail was that bad! I can’t believe how they managed to pull this off! The service was terrible, and it was freezing inside! While eating, we were shivering from the cold and wanted to finish our meal quickly and leave.

This place has slow service and very mediocre sushi/food. You can get better sushi at a grocery store for 1/4 the price. It is also freezing in there, like they don’t have on any heat in the middle of winter? I don’t know how Saku has any good reviews. The item we were most excited to try (crispy rice) never even made it to the table. Told the waiter to forget about it since we didn’t want to wait even longer. The only redeeming quality was the cocktails were well made so at least we had something to do while we waited over an hour for our food to arrive. Will not be returning.

I usually come on weekdays since its less busy but I really wanted sushi so I went in last saturday. Shoutout to my server Eric for making sure my drink was always full and checking up on me even though it wass really booked. Will be back again

If you’re looking for a place to test your patience, this is it! We waited over an hour for our food, and the place wasn’t even that full. The waitress was sweet (bless her heart), but nothing can make up for waiting that long for a simple meal. Maybe next time they’ll serve the food before breakfast… the next day. Definitely not coming back.

I want to love this place so bad but I’ve been here so many times and there is always and I mean always something that goes wrong.

It should come as no shock that when we order takeout it’s the same thing. At this point we’ll definitely continue getting sushi and takeout elsewhere, which is a shame because the place has a nice vibe, fun drinks, and decent food.

We ordered for pick up and it said it would take 40-50 mins. We get there and they had given our food away, so we had to wait another 15-20 minutes for them to remake our food. Then I get home and the side of spicy mayo that I ordered was all over the bag. Needless to say, it’s never a seamless experience and I’m over it. For $77 bucks, not really worth it IMO.

Salmon roll was embarrassingly small, not even a solid piece just smushed end bits. Service took so long they even admitted they forgot about us! Kept asking if we wanted to order more before our meal was served. The whiskey cocktail was also very watered down. Nicely decorated dining room though.
