Sakoon invites you to embark on an extraordinary culinary journey of India. Our chefs have created dishes that borrow from the past, yet are reinvented anew with vibrancy and modern flair. Named for the Indian word for peace, Sakoon was designed to envelop diners in warmth and serenity. Upon entering the restaurant, you’ll be greeted by the image of Buddha in hand-carved wooden panels, the glow from fiber-optic chandeliers, and the shimmer of a waterfall cascading into a pool of lotus petals. We invite you to join us for an exquisite dining experience.

Well decorated, fine dining. Enjoyed
Various non veg dishes on my birthday party to friends and relatives.
Chicken dum biryani, chicken tikka masala, Sakoon special grill- platter of fish, chicken, meat as sizzlers was appreciated by all.
Sunhari moorg the dish was ordered from its name.
Had enjoyed buffet before for lunch, it was just awesome; full Of salads, tandoori chicken and veg appetisers, various veg and non veg dishes as main course were delicious to taste. 4 types of sweets were authentic in taste.
Food:
Avocado Bhel (4/5): Great flavor but a bit small.
Desserts – Ras Malai and Gulab Jamun (2/5): very basic and ok tasting.
Ambience:
Not great for a large group. We were sat in some back dank room down a very long drab hallyway with very little space for a group of our size of 30. It felt like a storage room.
I tried the following :
Corn tikki
Desi fries
Veg pakoras
Avacado jhalmurri (didnt have avacado but i really liked the bhel aspect of it)
Achari chicken (THE BEST)
Tandoori chicken
Fried Fish
Main course : Kofta and butter chicken (wouldnt recommend)
Dessert :
Gajar ka halwa (decent)
Gulaab jamun (not the best, i couldnt finish.. probably just not my taste)
Naans were soft too.
All in all, for a buffet its pretty solid!
Please note : if you have people who are not very spice tolerant, this place serves! It’s flavourful but not overly spicy!
I am not vegetarian, but my favorite and most recommended dishes are the vegetarian entrees: Paneer Peshawari, Phool Makhane Ki Sabzi, Adraki Aloo Gobi, Subz Jalfrezi, Mirchi Baigan Ka Salan, and Sham Savera Kofta. The Tandoori Chicken and Soufia Paneer are also excellent. From the appetizers, the Delhi Ki Aloo Tikki, Panch Poran Paneer Tikka, and Mint Murgh Tikka are also worth trying. For naan, I prefer the onion kulcha and garlic naan, and don’t forget the raita yogurt dish! It’s mild and delicious, and helps complement the spices and creaminess of the dishes. I always order a large order of raita anytime I come for dinner.
The service is excellent, with the staff going above and beyond to make your time pleasant and comfortable. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Raymond and Valent for many years now, and they are always kind and accommodating. They will ensure your experience at Sakoon is memorable.
Please come try out this Bay Area gem. It’s hard to find authentic, high-quality Indian food in the States, but the Mountain View location of Sakoon is one of the best I’ve found. Do note the Mountain View location is significantly better than the other locations.
Avocado Jhalmuri ( with tamarind and mint chutney, potato was tasteless)
Basil Tikki + Chana ( Best )
Pineapple juice
Sweet + salty lemon soda
Overall an okayish experience.
* Shaam savera was too sweet. The curry was not really up to the mark. The kofta was okayish too. The food quality was not good*
