This place is fantastic and the price tag is reasonable. The atmosphere was comfortable and stylish. All of the staff worked together to ensure that our large party was taken care of quickly. Everyone received exactly what they ordered, quickly and with no mistakes. The food was as excellent and the portions are large enough that you will have leftovers.

The Hibachi chef was great. He was funny, engaging, lively, and most importantly – his food was delicious. There is fire. Food is flying through the air. Sake is being squirted. You are not just a passive participant here. Check it out.

We’ve tried pretty much every hibachi spot in the area, and this is the only one we return to time after time. We come here for every special occasion, and the entire family loves it! Everyone is kid friendly, and the chefs deliver on flavor and entertainment. The owner Tony is a great guy, remembers repeat customers and works to make sure everyone has a great experience. My husband is a vegetarian and the chefs are great about cooking all of his food before the meat touches the grill, and the tofu is phenomenal. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

I go to sushi every Friday with my dad. Safe to say we are sushi critics. We sometimes eat hibachi very lively and always a good crowd.
The sushi is so fresh and thin cut. Amazing service and if you call and they pick up in an instant. I had multiple bday parties there and I love it truly recommend!!!

The hibachi is really good, the workers there interact with the customers in a great way. Only thing I didn’t enjoy is how little space there is around the hibachi grill tables. I kept getting bumped into by customers and the workers handling the drinks. A recipe for disaster brewing.

On A Positive Note: The cook has a very upbeat personality.

I haven’t been here in years so I planned a lunch/shopping ladies day. For starters, I had to call out to the server whom was seated at the opposite end of the restaurant, rolling silverware. I ordered an appetizer and a “Melon Ball.” Upon receipt, it resembled a tall glass of orange juice, which I do not like. I tried to drink it but it reminded me of when I use to take iron pills and used the orange juice to wash it down. I have to give the manager credit. He was willing to make it better. It was better but still unsatisfactory. I did not complain any further. I accepted that an orange is now a melon. ‍♀️ My friend didn’t like her pina coloda either, it was watery and had ice chips in it, but she did not complain. I don’t think they added any alcohol to either drink or they drowned it in orange juice.

The food was good and plentiful for a lunch portion. The cook provided the usual hibachi entertainment- “saki in your mouth” and the opportunity for one to pretend to be a hungry seal. I give him 5 stars.

The Verdict: The food is decent and the cook was great. I would not order mixed drinks here or advise one to go to the bar and watch it being made.

My wonderful niece, who just received a well-deserved promotion, treated me to a delightful dinner at her favorite restaurant. I know I should have insisted on treating her, but she was so enthusiastic about it that I couldn’t say no!

She raved about this spot and was incredibly persuasive, and let me tell you, I’m so glad I listened to her. The hibachi grill there was one of the cleanest I’ve ever seen—seriously, it looked like they had just opened!

We ordered the hibachi meal, and the food was nothing short of phenomenal. The filet mignon literally melted in my mouth, and the rice, lo mein, and vegetables were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Hats off to the chef!

I also decided to try the scorpion cocktail, a massive bowl filled with various liquors, topped off with a burning flame. It was delicious! Our hibachi chef was not only talented but also humorous and down to earth, making for a truly enjoyable evening. Thank you, dear niece, for such a memorable night!

We were a party of 12 and had a great time. The staff was very attentive, the chef was very entertaining, and the food was delicious. It was a very nice evening that didn’t cost a lot of money.

The worst hibachi I’ve ever had. I should’ve known it would be bad the moment I realized my family and I were the only ones there. The food was awful, and they added unnecessary gratuity for just two people on top of that, they even charged extra for hot sauce. The whole experience was disappointing and unprofessional. One of the workers even sneezed into his shirt and never washed his hands afterward. Absolutely disgusting. I will never go back.

As a sushi aficionado, I can confidently say that Sakimura in Meriden, Connecticut, is the best in the area! The sushi here is absolutely divine, with every bite bursting with freshness and flavor. But what truly sets Sakimura apart are their flaming scorpion bowls – they are a must-try! The ambiance is perfect for a romantic date night, with dim lighting and a cozy atmosphere. Whether you’re a sushi enthusiast or just looking for a great dining experience, Sakimura is the place to be. Highly recommended!
