I Was Taking Care Of Some Business At Zales When A Former Employee Gave A High Recommendation For The Sushi Which I Started Talking About Craving. I Am Familiar With Rehobeth Dining But Somehow Missed This Place . The Dining Room Was Absolutely Exquisite ‼️ Beautiful, Classy, Modern And Tasteful. There Was A Fireplace I Was Tempted To Ask For A Table At. I Noticed A Sushi Bar Perfect For A Solo Visit . The Dining Was Very Accommodating To Very Large Groups , They Had Many There Seated. It Appears To Run Very Seamlessly And Smooth To Have So Many Packed Tables. It Was Very Fast And Simple To Order. My Order Was Fresh It Was Veryyyyy Generous Yet The Price Was Surprisingly Very Normal. ( No Overpricing ) I Look Forward To A Sit- In Visit With A Friend Or As A Date-Night Perhaps. The Views Almost Make You Forget Your In Rehobeth . The Sushi Was Delicious 10/10

After recently moving to Delaware, looking for restaurants I was very excited to try Saketumi. The menu looks enticing with lots of options.

I was highly disappointed. Took my mom out to lunch on a Saturday afternoon and our first surprise was no handicap access. My mother uses a walker and there are steps to get to the front door. This place really needs a deep clean and a fresh coat of paint. Had I really noticed upon walking in, I would’ve gone somewhere else.

Dominic was our waiter. Nice guy, but seemed a little disorganized or flustered. We ordered Kani salad, spicy garlic edamame, and gyoza for starters. It took forever for the gyoza to come out, but it was crispy. The edamame was the best thing ordered since the kani salad was more cucumber than crab. As entrees, we ordered a Chesapeake Bay roll and pineapple fried rice with extra chicken – no shrimp. The roll was very good … the rice, well now it was not fried rice in the way I was expecting. I would describe it more as a saffron rice in flavor and color and if what they gave me was extra chicken instead of shrimp, that was a sorry amount of chicken especially for $22!

Service was outstanding and very friendly. Our waitress, Emily, was kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. We never waited or wanted for drink refills, or another order.

Portions were generous. Sushi was… perfectly fine! I’ve had better, but overall, a nice experience.

Delicious and Fresh!
The sashimi here is super fresh and tasty. Everything was made with care, and the service was friendly and quick. A great spot if you’re craving quality sushi and sashimi. Will come back!

Saketumi made our daughter’s wedding celebration absolutely fantastic! As a party of twelve, we descended upon them, and they handled our large group with grace and efficiency. Our daughter, a true sushi enthusiast, was in heaven with their extensive and incredibly fresh sushi selection. Beyond the sushi, the variety of Asian cuisine, hibachi, and wok entrees meant everyone in our party found something they loved.
What truly stood out was the exceptional service. Our server, despite clearly juggling multiple tables, was attentive, friendly, and ensured everyone’s needs were met. It’s clear they are skilled and dedicated. We all had a wonderful time, and Saketumi played a big part in making our daughter’s celebration so special. We highly recommend them for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings – you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been going to Saketumi for several years now when I travel to and from Ocean City MD. I stop here with my family for their amazing assortment of sushi and East Asian cuisine. They also serve tea and cocktails as well.

Second time is a charm!!!!! Not gonna lie, first time was super disappointed but decided to give it a second chance. This time was way better then previous. If you go, please allow yourself extra time since food took long and service wasn’t .

Nice place. Sushi was fresh and tasty. Calamari was pretty bland and chewy. Specialty drinks were a little watery and not very strong but quite sweet. Service was pretty attentive but had to be reminded a few times of requests. Did accommodate a soy allergy and removed from rolls but forgot to mention which sauces had soy when served on the side. Good attitudes. Priced accordingly for the area.

I was really looking forward to dining at this large restaurant, hoping for some authentic Asian cuisine. Unfortunately, both visits left much to be desired. The chicken was pale and rubbery, and I found it unappetizing even before tasting it. I gave it a second chance, hoping for improvement, but the experience was even more disappointing the second time around. Additionally, the aesthetics of the place could use a lot of work. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend spending your money here.

Respect Shouldn’t Be Conditional

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience felt important to share.

When I first entered, I asked if there was seating available and was told there was plenty. I stepped outside briefly to get my fiancé, and when we returned just moments later, I was told there was no seating available—unless we wanted to sit at the bar.

Nothing had changed in that short span of time not even two minutes elapsed, nothing changed except the skin tone of my fiancé and myself. I don’t like to “play the race card,” especially in the world we’re living in, but that is exactly how this situation felt.

What made this particularly disappointing is that this is an Asian restaurant—one would hope there would be an understanding of how prejudice, stereotypes, and judgment feel when experienced firsthand. That awareness, unfortunately, was not reflected in how this situation was handled.

At the very least, the inconsistency showed poor communication and a lack of professionalism. The interaction left us feeling dismissed and questioning whether we were treated fairly.

Businesses are remembered not just for what they serve, but for how they treat people when respect costs nothing. Unfortunately, that standard wasn’t met here.
So with that they lost two potential customers
