Hidden pearl in the Lake Havasu food scene.

My last visit to Lake Havasu, I stumbled upon this quaint and unassuming sushi restaurant. I was craving sushi that night, and when I looked up sushi restaurant’s, the top two were super busy and looked like they were chain restaurant’s. I decided to look at other places and found Sake Sushi & Grill. There were only a few cars parked outside, perhaps a total of five other vehicles. I wasn’t expecting much, but what I got when I walked in was pleasantly surprising.

When I walked in, I was greeted by the chef/owner and perhaps his wife. It brought me back to one of my favorite mom and pop sushi restaurant that I frequented in Okinawa Japan when I was stationed there. The servers were very attentive and they even had a sommelier of sorts, who helped me pick the best Sake for my meal. The food came out fast and the fish looked, smelled and tasted fresh even though it’s hundreds of miles from the nearest ocean.

I got the chirasu bowl, and few Maki, seaweed salad, and tempura vegetables. They gave me some free miso soup to help cleanse my pallet. Everything looked so good and tasted fantastic. I was so enticed by the food that I forgot to take a picture of it before I started eating.

I definitely recommend Sake Sushi & Grill if you are looking for something more authentic than those other chain sushi restaurants.

I kind of wish I came back to this place sooner. The food here is really good. Customer service is great and the proportions are well defined. I really enjoyed it here and I’ll come back again. Thank you.

Absolutely Amazing Experience at Saki Sushi!
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. The food? Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — exactly what you’d want from top-notch sushi. But what really made our visit exceptional was Eric, our server. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Attentive without being intrusive, incredibly friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu — he made us feel genuinely taken care of.
You can tell he loves what he does, and it made all the difference. Highly recommend Saki Sushi for a great meal and ask for Eric if you can — you won’t be disappointed!

myself and a large group of 10 people were there last night, 2-11, we have been there several times and the service was ok. last night was the worst. 6 people got their food fairly soon, 4 did not, one got tired of waiting and had them box it up, and one was so upset she canceled her order and left, 2 finally got their order after everyone else was done. the booths with 2-4 people were getting waited on and getting their food. it will be a while before we go back. their excuse what the kitchen was too small and too busy. we have been there in the past, maybe they are taking us for granted…and the staff did not seem to care. oh well…

I’m not sure where these people giving reviews ate but the experience we just had was terrible. Got there at 5:30, was told to help ourselves to a booth. Was 15 minutes until we even got a menu and another 15 before our order was taken. Half an hour to get our food which was cold. Everything was cold except the sushi which was warm. A California roll made with cream cheese. Yeah never had a California roll with cream cheese because thats not how you serve one!!
Will not be returning.

We went here during the balloon fest…
The food was cold..
I said something to the server, and she said, well, it is late in the evening!!
Oh my god are you kidding me!?
Horrible horrible horrible service.
This was recommended to us by somebody that used to live there.
She did warn us about the servers being rude, but she did say the food was good…
Well, this time the food was horrible and the service was horrible.I don’t know which one was worse!

Great Korean and Japanese food in Lake Havasu City. My partner got the beef udon, and really enjoyed the amount of vegetables, and rich, flavorful broth. I was really happy with the pork bibimbap. Tender and hella flavorful meat, A+ on the egg and rice, and the vegetables in this dish were also on point. Spicy salmon roll was pretty, and featured good sized pieces of fish in the roll. Can’t wait to come again.

Try the asahi beer, it pairs well with the food

Arigatou gozaimasu! Beautiful presentation, excellent sushi with quality fish. I had the lunch 4 piece nigiri with shrimp tempura roll and miso. You know you are in a great place when on the nigiri the fish is larger than the rice portion. Yummy miso soup with fresh real kelp too. Our table also tried the shrimp tempura Bento and the bulgogi and chicken teriyaki rice bowls. All were excellent. I also highly recommend the strawberry mochi, which was devoured so quickly I didn’t get a picture. It was the perfect blend of sweet and creamy. Our waitress/hostess was really sweet too, even though it got crazy with a big lunch rush all of the sudden she still got everything right on our order which is very important because we have severe food allergies and sensitivities in our group.
Many more dishes on the menu sound wonderful, and I’ll be trying them in the future when we pass by again for sure!
