The potstickers were fine- the miso soup was really flavorful and so was the salad with the ginger dressing.
The hibachi chef was really funny and engaged well with our kids. Fried rice spicy was a great option & we all enjoyed the chicken, shrimp and filet. Overall it was a happy experience for a birthday celebration.
I normally don’t post reviews like this, but my experience tonight at Sake Steakhouse in Hendersonville was honestly unacceptable and people deserve to know.
From the moment we arrived, everything went downhill.
✔️ We waited over 2.5 hours before we had a complete meal in front of us.
✔️ It took 10+ minutes just to get our drinks after ordering.
✔️ Our server completely forgot our salads and only brought salads to half of the table.
✔️ And the worst part? There was PLASTIC in my salad. Yes… actual plastic mixed in with my food.
Finding plastic in my meal was disgusting and immediately killed my appetite. The only good part of the night was the hibachi chef—he was entertaining and did a great job. But even his performance couldn’t make up for what happened.
When I brought the plastic to the server’s attention, nothing meaningful was done. No apology from management, no real attempt to make it right—just a 10% discount on the bill. After waiting that long, being forgotten multiple times, and then finding plastic in my food, 10% is a slap in the face. That does NOT justify the health risk or the terrible service we experienced.
I left highly disappointed, frustrated, and honestly a little grossed out. I will not be returning, and I strongly recommend others think twice before dining there. A restaurant that can’t ensure basic food safety or take responsibility when something goes wrong is not a place I can trust.
Do better, Sake. Hendersonville deserves better than this.
It was good, but disappointed how thin the fish fillet were cut, really paper thin! Never seen like it, this Sushi chef has some serious good knives!!
Not sure if I will return for lunch…
