I ordered the Teriyaki Style Chicken, +$1 for fried rice. I ordered to-go, and the food was still of a good hot/warm temperature when I got 20 minutes away to my destination. Great packaging! What I got was a container of soup, a salad, fried rice, and my chicken teriyaki.
Upon pick-up, even though it was the only to-go meal on the rack, I was asked to provide the order number, so I guess have that ready when you go in, even if you placed the order thru their own site and not DoorDash/UberEats.
The soup was very good. I assume it was a miso soup – it had mushrooms and green onions. It was a nice light broth with plenty of flavor.
The fried rice was a bit lacking on seasoning – particularly salt / soy flavor. Just kind of bland. But, it did stick nicely together and seemed to be quite freshly made. The only other added parts I could see in it were egg – No onions, no corn, no bean sprouts. Simple fried rice.
I would have to say that the food I was craving and looking forward to the most was the thing that let me down the most. I have no idea what brand or kind of teriyaki sauce they are using on their chicken, but my god does it totally NOT fit the quality that should be present in their food. The first bite I got was riddled with just a straight weird chemically flavor that didn’t fit at all with teriyaki chicken. You should expect teriyaki sauce to have a sweet and savory flavor with a salty tang from the soy sauce, a sweet honey flavor, and a rich glossy texture. This was not that! This was chemical, fake smoke, slightly peppery, very watery, and just all-around not a good taste for the seemingly-fresh chicken it was served upon. The chicken tasted great by itself, but then the spices and sauce just completely destroyed any good flavor that was there… Don’t get me wrong, the taste wasn’t bad to the point of being inedible, but it was very strange and not at all what was expected. Still a decent meal if you’re looking for something non-traditional. I think I’ll stick to other places.
From the moment you step into Osaka Hibachi, you’re not just dining—you’re in for a show. The chefs dazzle with flying knives, flaming onion volcanoes, and lightning-fast skills that keep both kids and adults on the edge of their seats.
This spot is perfect for families, blending delicious food with unforgettable entertainment. Whether it’s your child’s first hibachi experience or a birthday celebration, the energy is high, the laughs are constant, and the food—steak, shrimp, fried rice, and more—is downright crave-worthy.
Osaka isn’t just a meal. It’s a thrilling, interactive night out that brings everyone together around the sizzling grill.
The place was nice, clean and inviting. We went for lunch, I enjoyed a strawberry margarita and my husband got something that I cant remember the name but it was also delicious! I know alcoholic beverages are different each place you go, but this place was on point!
Our chef was chill and fun. I ordered shrimp and chicken and it was done to perfection. My husband ordered the steak and his wasn’t over cooked or anything too. Just right!
I highly recommend and we will for sure be coming back for another visit!
My only note was their chairs…I felt I was sitting a bit low at the hibachi table, but otherwise, still fantastic!
Waiter saw me struggling with chopsticks and he rubberbanded some together for me and taught me how to use them! Great guy!
Also, their SWEET POTATO SUSHI ROLL is to die for, it had a delicious sauce and a lil crunch to it. Highly recommend!!!
Also was very beautiful inside (: I will definitely be going back!
Service its good but definitely could be better on being more attentive.
Atmosphere is good but definitely needs some updates.
This is the corner store in a line of stores situated on the corner of Potomac Mills Road and Gideon Drive. It may not look like much from the outside but don’t let that fool you. There is plenty of parking directly in front of the location. I would recommend reservations as this place can get busy. The decor is tastefully minimalist, enhancing the dining experience without distraction. It seems to have 3 different areas inside the restaurant: regular tables to the right, a bar in the middle, and a large area with many hibachi tables seating 8 people each for most of them. Our party checked in with the hostess and we were seated immediately on one side of the table. They seated another group across from us. We ordered drinks and dinners. The menu showcases a fusion of traditional and contemporary Japanese cuisine, featuring expertly crafted sushi rolls, sashimi platters, and savory hot dishes like teriyaki and tempura. The food was cooked at our table with a chef who did a good job making it enjoyable and had large portions. The prices are a little bit higher with the prices for hibachi dinners ranging from $20 to $40 but the food and service were well worth it. . Overall, the restaurant offers a delightful blend of ambiance, cuisine, and community spirit, making it a must-visit destination for Japanese food enthusiasts in the area.
The Hibachi tables have two useless end seats, that you can’t even see the show of your food being cooked, so please don’t seat anyone in these useless seats, I asked to move, and as they were trying to fill up the table the manager or owner who came out, had a bit of an attitude.
Our appetizers finally came out while we were watching our skilled chef doing his fancy moves which was very good, although he didn’t talk much, he was entertaining.
A bit disappointed with the Sushi, as both were just ok, and fried, which wasn’t expecting, plus the Tuna inside the Jalapeño poppers were cooked and it seemed dry and a bit old, as they must have been made in advance.
The drinks at happy hour, wow!! Really liked them, especially the Leeche Martini.
I would go to this spot again, just not anytime soon, as it was a bit pricy for a regular dinner, maybe for a special occasion.
the sushi at happy hour – well worth the entire experience! I’ll be back for that. very savory, well prepared and super tasty.
our server, Bella, was very attentive and friendly.
our granddaughter loved the koi and turtle pond so her first Japanese steakhouse experience was a hit!
