The excellent restaurant in New Bern, NC. Our restaurant uses the freshest seafood and offers a wide array of Japanese cuisine, ranging from traditional hot dishes such as tempura and teriyaki to Japanese sushi rolls and sashimi plates! Aside from traditional Japanese cuisine, we have also added seafood boil to our menu with 3 spice levels and 4 flavors to choose from! Aside from the food that we provide, we also have hibachi chefs that perform cooking shows, private party rooms for large parties which are optimal for family gatherings, birthday parties and company meetings. Our restaurant provides a very clean and unique dining experience that can be enjoyed by many. please come and try it out! We welcome all customers!

I usually go to Musashi, but I tried this place since Musashi was closed. However, it was definitely just as good or better!!
I got the Bubba Gump roll and one of the Crispy rolls, and they were both amazing. They were decent sized and priced. (See photo.)
The other person I was with got the hibachi chicken dinner, which was a very generous portion with soup, salad, and rice. The soup was pretty good; the teriyaki sauce was flavorful and the chicken was cooked *perfectly*. The pieces were not shriveled and small or dry like some restaurants – they were large, juicy pieces and absolutely yummy. (And as much as I love Musashi, the teriyaki hibachi chicken here is definitely a bit better!)
Our server was also wonderfully inviting and friendly; we both enjoyed having her as our server since she was so welcoming. She offered us anything we could have needed and was always very prompt.
Definitely recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to return!

Sake Hibachi, is a wonderful family oriented experience. Excellent food! Totally delicious! Very friendly & caring Staff, nicely attentive. Complete cleanliness, is easy to see. Clean restrooms & definitely sparkling cooking areas,which I commented upon; to the expert Chef. My friends, visit them soon.I certainly, enjoyed a very special relaxing meal, Salmon & Avocado. My daughter and I did takeout because we didn’t feel like sitting out. We tried to DoorDash Sake, even downloaded other apps, but they are not on any, which is unfortunate. We brought our food home and loved it. We are new to the area, and this was our first experience. I was so excited to find veggie tempura, and it was so good. We will definitely be going back for more!

It’s okay. We’ve come twice and half the sushi rolls are disappointing. Today, the roll was wrapped in cucumber, not rice or seaweed. We misread that, oops. The shrimp wasn’t on top or inside, but minced to a mush. Hot sake was sour – that’s a first taste for me. How long does sake need to sit before it goes sour? Service brought the seafood boil 10 minutes before the rest of the party received sushi dinners. Crawfish was meh. Likely won’t return a third time.

My daughter has celiac disease. She read reviews of this restaurant on Find me Gluten free app where two people who ate at this restaurant said it was safe to eat here. She visited this restaurant today and before placing her order, she asked the staff several times if the food she was ordering is gluten free and safe for people with Celiac. The staff assured her order of sushi and soup were gluten free. It was only after she consumed her food they told her that both sushi and the soup she just ate had gluten in it. The waitress named Hnin si actually laughed when she informed my daughter that food indeed had gluten. My daughter spent the night throwing up until she was spitting out bile and blood. I’m appalled at the insensitivity and recklessness of the staff. I’m putting this review to warn people with Celiac disease and gluten intolerance. Please do not eat at this restaurant. The staff is ignorant and does not understand the seriousness of Celiac disease.

We came here for my husband’s birthday. We ordered the Love Boat for 2 and we were NOT disappointed. I will tell you, you must have a true love for raw fish to truly enjoy it. We ate every piece and walked away full and satisfied. The waitress was attentive and friendly.

Food was great. We had everything thing from sushi to the hibachi steak and it was all great. I had the hibachi salmon and while it was cooked a little more than I prefer it was still great. My wife got the salmon don and thoroughly enjoyed it. The only reason that it was not 5 stars is service was a bit slow. Food came out fairly quickly but then had to flag down the waiter for refills and for the check.

The food was good, but the restaurant itself seemed managed incorrectly. Our appetizers arrived after the main course and our grandsons food was last. It was chicken nuggets and fries. The waitress kept saying sorry for things like, that we couldn’t have soup because they had no bowls, because there was no dishwasher. The waitress would disappear again and again. The place wasn’t packed, but the staff seemed lost. It’s really a shame too, I had high hopes for the place. I don’t want folks to think I hated it, but I’m not sure if I’ll go back.

Clean and very reasonably priced. I love that the tables were covered. The soups were amazing and very flavorful. I enjoyed the salad and their GINGER dressing! Sushi was fresh without too much rice layering. The staff was very cordial. Food was served within a very reasonable amount of time. Hibachi chicken was not seasoned throughout. The sauce was simply poured over it. The vegetables were flavorful. The tofu would have been a little better if it were firm and not soft.

Server was obviously very new and still learning menu and english. ordered a steak and shrimp hibachi plate and she brought me a steak hibachi with TWO shrimp. i use to come a lot and always got the same thing. brought my friend the same entree but it had correct portions, then tried to argue with me about how i was wrong but couldn’t even really communicate with her because she couldn’t understand me . won’t be back musashis is much better.
