Sakaba is more than it’s Japanese namesake, more than a simple upscale sushi bar in a resort. Sakaba is the GO TO sushi restaurant in Vail. Sakaba is a full foodie experience, serving food that is beyond words for how deliciously divine. Pair that with the friendliness wait staff who are without a doubt the best in the world. The entire meal from start to finish was a feast for the senses. Each course is stunningly plated.

Way to expensive for what food quality and service. Should give it 3 stars for the price but food wasn’t bad, just far from great. Server suggested we leave mayo off of a roll, she forgot to tell the kitchen, and we watched rolls after rolls leave the sushi bar before ours came back out and we were not checked on for 20 minutes. Also be aware that you could be seated at an outside patio with heaters.

The food and service at Sakaba both were beyond our expectations (which were high). As a signature restaurant in one of the most beautiful Ritz-Carlton properties in the country, you should expect premium prices. However, the tastes and experience justify those prices, especially for a special treat!

Oh my goodness! Such amazing sushi and sake! The yellowtail sushi was incredible and our favorite. We also enjoyed the spicy tuna and the crunchy salmon. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and made us feel like we were really important for the evening. My sake flight was a fun way to try various samples. I strongly recommend this to anyone who even remotely likes sushi!

Extremely overpriced. Waitress had no idea how to guide us through what to order or how to recommend sake. Sat us outside with heaters when we booked indoor table. For $800+ for 4 people, this was one of the worst dining experiences I can recall.

I’ve eaten sushi many times and places, I would have never thought a place in the middle of the Rokies would have such great product, so fresh and super well prepared, any of the plates where super good, and the drinks from Danny’s hand (the bar man) where superb…..if you get to come to the area you got to go!!

One of the worst experiences I’ve had probably ever. Water took 20 minutes, drinks took 30. Food was delicious but not worth the rudest treatment from every waiter and GM. Wouldn’t recommend going to anyone. Not worth you money go anywhere else
