The restaurant looks cozy at first glance, with a warm setup and a cute bar area. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the atmosphere.
It took about ten minutes just to be seated, even though the place wasn’t busy. Service stayed slow the whole time, and there were no working bathrooms, which was a major issue.
The bento box looked nice when it came out — sushi, rice, spring rolls, chicken teriyaki but the food was just okay. Everything tasted a bit flat and under-seasoned. The miso soup was lukewarm, and the drinks were average at best.
I’ve seen a few other reviews mention similar service and food issues, so it doesn’t seem to be a one-time thing.
There’s potential here, but they really need to improve service, food quality, and basic maintenance before I’d recommend it.

The best Crab Rangoon that we have ever had in our LIVES! Huge menu with a lot of variety. Great service! Select seasonal items on the menu like the “Bloody Eyeball” mocktail for Halloween was fun and delicious. We will be coming back for sure.

An absolutely wonderful spot hidden off route 40. From Thai to Korean to Japanese, this restaurant offers phenomenally prepared dishes of all kinds. This restaurant single-handedly out does any Asian food I have had in Frederick in recent years.
DD is an excellent sushi chef and the stuff is extremely accommodating, I highly recommend trying the sexy jalapeno! And definitely treat yourself to one of the three wonderful flavored beers they have available! This has become a regular spot for us!

Saisaki: A Hidden Gem in Frederick!
Saisaki truly lives up to being a hidden gem! Tucked away on a quiet country road in Frederick, this restaurant is located in the beautiful, historic Logan Tavern, right across from a charming antique shop. It’s definitely on a path less traveled, but so worth discovering.
The food was absolutely superb, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. My children loved their meals, including the sushi, and the portions were wonderfully large – a big plus! For dessert, the fried banana and ice cream was truly to die for. I thoroughly enjoyed my own meal, and the dumplings were a particular highlight. Saisaki offers a fantastic dining experience in a lovely, unique setting!

The food and service are outstanding! The setting is stunning – a fieldstone tavern on an old post road. The dining rooms have a hand painted mural that depicts the area hundreds of years ago. It is worthy of the 5stare and a quick detour off 70!

We had such a wonderful meal here with our party of 8 for lunch this past week! We were greeted promptly and seated in a private dining room perfect for our group. Our server was very kind and accommodating to our large group and the children in our party. The historic charm of the tavern, especially the wall paintings, were gorgeous and worked so beautifully with the restaurant style. We ordered a variety of items and all were delicious and fresh. The sushi dishes and bento boxes were affordable, portions were generous & all were beautifully presented. We also loved the cheesecake tempura for dessert! We noticed a gorgeous patio to the side of the restaurant that was very large and full of lovely flowers. We can’t wait to go back and wish them every success!

My husband and I went there for our anniversary dinner. Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere with fireplace in the rooms. We had tuna tartar for appetizer. Incredibly tasty. Hibachi dinner with yum yum sauce was absolutely delicious. Fried bananas with ice cream for dessert is a cherry on the top. Two days later, I returned with my sister for a cup of tea and fried bananas. Highly recommend this place

This place is GREAT!! food, location, ambiance. The food was absolutely AMAZING! The prices are standard and definitely worth it !! The location is very convenient on a main road and easy to get to. Surprisingly not noisy being so close to the road. I did suggest a better sign that highlights it’s a restaurant, in my opinion that would be helpful. Service was good, there’s a bit of a language barrier sometimes but point and you will be fine ! We have been there multiple times already and are definitely going to become regulars. Again the food was 10/10 worth it, highly recommend. We came here for lunch and another time for dinner.

We’ve sat at the sushi counter twice now, and both times the food and service were amazing! We had the same crew both nights. Our server, Alex, was as attentive as the first time, and the two sushi chefs (I apologize for not getting their names) were fun to chat with and watch, again.
The presentation of each roll is executed beautifully, and they have all been delicious. We appreciate that they let us order in rounds, rather than all at once. We would hate to waste any of the wonderful offerings by being too full.
Our favorite items, so far, have been the tuna tartar and the tai garlic starters, the luxurious lobster roll, the miami sunset roll, and the not-too-sweet mango sticky rice dessert. We would reorder all the rolls we’ve had though, once we’ve gone through the whole list first.
