Service was excellent and food was delicious . Onion soup was better than I had it in Paris quite few yrs back.

St.Jacques is in the Burke Manor Inn. It is a charming venue in Gibsonville. Across the street are operating railroad tracks, a train passed during our meal. A 2 story White manor with wrap around porch and rotundas on both corners is set beside a gravel drive and surrounded by greenery so you feel away from town. 2 enormous Magnolias are to one side of the manor creating a tunnel as you drive up.
Entering you see a lovely staircase ahead and the dining areas in each rotunda. We were greeted with a smile and kindness. We were seated by a window in one of the rotundas complete with brick fireplace, sparkling chandelier and a floor to ceiling library shelves on one side. Linen covered tables (only 4 total) greeted us with fresh flowers and lights on every table. Listening we heard soft music, often French, to set the relaxing mood for our meal.
The menu was extensive in my opinion with options of beef, lamb, seafood, and pasta for everyone including Gluten Free upon request. A meal here is an event- meaning it’s not rushed. We enjoyed each course and relaxed along the journey from appetizer to dessert.
It felt like we were dining in another time when dinner was an event not just a time to eat. We highly recommend treating yourself to the experience. We will definitely return.

Lunch today, wonderful restaurant! i didn’t realize we had been to the St Jacques in Raleigh, and it was the same owner. We had seafood crepe, tomato pie, quiche lorraine. David was our server, professional service terrific food!

While this is a charming restaurant with a lovely ambiance and excellent service, we were disappointed in the entree portions. We are seniors with small appetites and are usually satisfied with an entree and no appetizers or dessert, this was not the case last night. I thought the meal was overpriced for the amount of food served. And although it was good, I can’t say it was delicious.

What an unexpected delight! My sister and I wanted to take my parents out for a nice meal for a (much belated) Father’s Day. They especially wanted escargot so choices were a bit limited! We had a wonderful meal – all the food was lovely, it was very relaxed. Our server was perfect. It was such a delight to see my parents enjoy themselves in such a comfortable atmosphere!
