We went for dinner with friends and loved the view, atmosphere, and had great service. The drinks for most of us were also excellent. However we all felt that the food and presentation was a three star. So take that into account if you are reading this.
I know they are going for the diner/dinette vibe but the shrimp cakes in a cardboard box isn’t ideal. The French fries also were good but look like something you would get next door at CHS Field.
I had the duck pasta with ricotta cheese and it was a major letdown for me. I should have ordered the burrito. However the menu isn’t that large so your options are limited. The pork belly was tasty but had way too much spicy sauce all over it.
Will I go back? Honestly it is unlikely. I hope they can improve the food and expand the menu because the location is beautiful and historic. And our server was prompt and took great care of us.

A Fond Farewell to Saint Dinette*
Saint Dinette will truly be missed. We had our final meal there during brunch, and as always, it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with an impeccable attention to detail that extends from the spotless restaurant to the perfectly set tables. The service remains as kind and professional as ever, making every visit a memorable experience.
For our last meal, we enjoyed the Eggs Benedict and the signature cheeseburger—both outstanding. The burger boasted the perfect balance of meat and cheese, complemented by crispy, golden fries with just the right amount of salt. To top it all off, the CCP cocktail, a rich blend of cold brew and bourbon, provided the perfect symphony of flavors and a satisfying conclusion to our meal.
Saint Dinette, you will be deeply missed.

Great burger, hot fast and fresh. The burger may seem simple but seasoned and cooked perfectly. Fries were ok but hot and loved the desert. Overall price a bit high but paying for quality.

They are closing in March from what I understand. We moved away from this area and haven’t been in a while, so we stopped in for brunch! I had a Bourbon Cold Press, T had the Bloody. We started with the Crudite, T got the Cheeseburger as that is one of the things they are known for! I ended up getting Eggs Benedict, the hollandaise is SUPER tangy, but went well with the egg yokes! Ordered Beignets as dessert. Everything was very good and we had attentive service. Bummer this place is going away!

Came for brunch at 1pm on a Saturday and there was a lot of available seating. We got the gem lettuce salad, American Burger, and French toast and all 3 were very good. The salad has lots of fresh herbs, and the dressing was very flavorful. The burger was the perfect indulgent meal with tons of oozy cheese, fresh pickles and a good crust on the outside of the patties (like a smash burger). The French toast was made using in house bread, and had a beautiful custardy inside and crunchy outside. I made sure to cover every bite with the blueberry sauce. It wasn’t too sweet, but it still felt decadent. The restaurant has a chic industrial feel with lots of natural lights and a few plants. I would come back here in a heartbeat!

Reviewing this place kind of late, but I still think about returning to St. Paul quite often just so I can eat here again. We stopped in for lunch one Saturday last summer and it has been one of the most memorable restaurants during my 6 months living in the Twin Cities. The service was impeccable, cocktails tasted beautiful and inventive, while the food was fresh and full of flavor. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing while the set-up gives everyone appropriate space and privacy while not putting up walls. I enjoyed this meal very much and cannot wait until my job takes me there again!

Decent place for brunch. Location is nice with it overlooking the Saint Paul farmer’s market. Food was good too. Nothing blew us away, but we liked everything that we got. I got the bologna sandwich and my wife got the eggs Benedict. We then shared an order of the beignets.
The beignets were the best out of everything we tried. Crispy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside. The bologna sandwich was good, but I lived in Memphis and the bologna down there is better.
Overall the food is good, but I think overpriced. The bologna sandwich cost $17 and it doesn’t come with any sides like fries. For the price I’d expect to be more blown away by the food.

Absolutely phenomenal! Menu changes often so there’s always a reason to come back. Their service is top notch and the food is some of the best I’ve had. See mussels with curry squash and a mini pumpkin with duck and everything else good. *Chef’s kiss*

We love the creativity and technique put into making the different dishes. The end result is inspiration to come back soon to enjoy what they create.
My husband ordered the hamburger, the best in town! Flavorful, moist and with nice crunch outside. It’s unbelievable. But incredible as well is the marvelous Walleye with capers and belle meunière sauce. Make sure to order their irresistible bread and use it to soak up all that yumminess of the sauce.
On a previous visit we ordered the fried chicken and that was very good too.
When available, order the grilled cake for sure. It’s delightful temptation for sure!
Maureen took very good care of us. Thanks!

One of our absolute favorite dinner spots to hit – and we’re burb rats. I’ve never had a dish I didn’t like, and I love how they always have a fresh spin on the staples – except of course the burger which is as bare bones as they come – bun, patties and cheese. Normally I’m a ketchup and mayo burger gal, but adding any condiments to this burger is a sacrilege. Eat it exactly how it’s served, and get a side of their fries to accompany it. Love that there’s several small plates so we can try many things and split it. The beef tartare nachos are amazing, and I may sound crazy when I tell you to finish your meal with the flapjacks, but just trust me. They’re the best restaurant dessert I’ve ever had. Cheers!
