I went into the Indian foods Turmeric grocery store on Alma just south of Baseline. I was looking to get some lentil, and several Desi snacks that I like. Upon checkout, I noted the doorway to the Saima restaurant. It so happened that I was inside the window for their Sunday(only) buffet, at $21. I had no idea this was there, and the young man said they are in their 3rd year.

He said that Mom is Pakistani, and Dad is Indian. The Muslim n.w. region is where beef is consumed, and it is delicious. I was told that they always have the signature Beef Nihari, Paneer cheese masala. The other items are changed-out each week. IIRC, he said you can go to their Facebook on Thursday to see what the options are.

Everything was delicous, and I have put captions to my photos.
The naan was exceptionally l light, and fluffy, unlike what I am accutomed to. I went to lift the chicken leg in the picture, and the meat fell from the bone. You couldn’t ask for more tender meat items, most of which is apparently cooked overnight. Ditto the chickpease. You could honestly mash them and spread them across the bread if you chose. The tastes are just different enough from both N. and S. Indian foods to make this worth recommending. Enjoy.

P1, a bowl of Beef Nihari with proper garnish of slivered ginger, minced jalapeno and cilantro. P2 a kebab of seasoned, mixed beef and spices. Tender goat on the bone, chicken and rice pulao, and Chicken 65. P3 is light fluffy naan, melt in your mouth chana(also called chole), and Chicken Tikka. P4 Front of the menu.

The food is delectable and closest to authentic Pakistani food taste. The prices are a bit on the higher side for the service. We have to self serve which is not a bad thing, but the quality of cutlery, napkins and plates can be a little better. The food makes up for it all though so definitely do give it a try!! I would recommend going for the buffet on Sunday mornings so you get to try a bit of everything!

The place was pretty empty. The older gentleman that came over to help us also made our food. He was very polite and had a humble character about him. I instantly liked him as well as the woman working with him. I went for the Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic naan. Was pretty nervous waiting for I have only had these items from an Indian restaurant but I was not at all disappointed. Everything right down to the rice was delicious. I will definitely be back.

So far tried their gola Kabab, Bihari, cholay, aloo subzi, chicken 65, chicken tikka masala, paratha and falooda!
Everything was super yummy! Being from Karachi I can vouch this is the first restaurant that has authentic gola and Bihari taste!
Keep an open mind and you will not be disappointed! Will be going back very soon for tikkas 🙂

Went to try some Pakistani delicacy items, & they did not disappoint. The flavors are simply fantastic. The taste is home cooked with the fresh spices and delicious preparations. It’s primarily (almost) self serve style, but if that doesn’t bother you, you have to try their food, it’s finger licking good!

Their kabobs are delectable and served with copious amounts of red onions and cucumbers, very South East Asian style 🙂

Mr and Mrs Bilgrami are great!

I was with my parents again today at bundoo Khan Mesa. Today we ordered Dahi poori, paani poori, dahi bada. Also TOGO order of tikka, naan and paratha. Not only food was awesome but Mr and Mrs. Bilgrami went above and beyond (as always) to maintain spice levels for my father.

On pakistan T20 final night we catered bihari kabab, tikka and seek kabab for 10 friends get together and everyone loved the food!

Thanks Bundoo Khan family! Really great addition to AZ!

Thanks from Faisal Zindani family and friends
