Saigon Street Food review in Denver, CO – Facebook

I’ve been eating more at Saigon Street Food than any other Vietnamese restaurants in Denver for the past few weeks. Their food is legit!

Delicious Sài Gòn street foods.
I had “Bún bò Huế” and it’s excellent, plenty of quality toppings.
My wife had “Bún mắm” and she loved it, the dish was delicious and plenty of meat, fried fish paste, squid, shrimps, and roasted pork.

I came here today for the first time and ordered a Thai milk tea with boba. It was way too sweet, I’m talking diabetes sweet like not even enjoyable, you could barely see or taste any milk, & there wasn’t nearly enough ice either. I forced myself to drink it cause I didn’t want to waste $7. The interior isn’t very inviting either…outdated signage, and there was a display case where they had a bunch of random shoes inside?? This wasn’t a great experience… I probably won’t be back. :/

The food is authentic. You can see a lot of Vietnamese eat here. I have tried their Bun Mam, Bun Rieu, Hu Tieu Nam Vang, Hu Tieu Sai Gon, Che Ba Mau and they are really one of the best here in Denver, CO. I am Asian and I approve the food here. Don’t let the hole in the wall experience deter you, because the food is so legit. You can customize if you don’t like internal organs or pork blood, just tell them.

The space is kinda sparse and there are tables to hang out but, really, you go here for the drinks/treats. And in this, they are completely fine. The watermelon slush is actually fresh cut and blended. All the other drinks are nicely flavored and sweetness level adjustable. And, they also have other treats and a selection of chinese PJs to shop. Seems like it’s run by a group of friendly vietnamese ladies who were attentive and helpful with our orders.

We went there a few times since they opened. The food is decent but always out of certain items on the menu. The food they served from the steamed table are dry. The most important thing is that the restrooms are closed to the patrons. You can’t even wash your hands before you eat. A food service establishment must have working restrooms.

We always stop by Lollicup whenever we are on this side of town. They offer a wide selection of drinks, from traditional milk teas to more unique options. My go to is always the blended coconut slush with taro pudding boba. You can customize your drink to your exact liking, which is really appreciated.

Service was quick and friendly, and they took the time to ensure everything was made to perfection. The pricing is reasonable, especially considering the quality of the drinks.

7/15/23-About average for a boba place and that’s why I gave 3 stars as an average score. The sour plum was actually salty and not sour. Prices of the drinks were also about average.

Inconsistent quality. First visit was pleasant- perfect texture and smooth. However on another visit drink was all ice chunks which made it terribly difficult to drink as with each sip on the straw there were chunks of ice coming up with the boba. Being one of the more pricier joints I’d expect more. A blended almond snow with Boba cost me eight dollars- most places you can get two drinks for the same price.

Layout of the place has a strange mix of things. Thai tea was pretty good. Very friendly service, drinks made quickly. There are options for powdered or fresh fruits.
