I really hate writing a bad review for a family owned restaurant, but…

I ordered two pad thais today. What I got was noodles of disappointment and regret. The noodles tasted like grease with a hint of soy sauce. Where was the pad thai sauce?! I was upset. I paid over $20 for two things of plain greasy noodles. Not to mention the burned THING (no idea what it was–possibly burned chicken) I found in my TOFU pad thai. Was it because my order was take-out? Figured I wouldn’t notice ’til I got home? I went against my better judgement and decided to give them another try since it was on the way home, as opposed to going to King & I for their AWESOME food. Needless to say that that was a bad idea. I made some ghetto pad thai by adding my own peanut butter, fish sauce, and chili paste.

Oh and it was way rude to ignore me for 10 minutes and look past me like I wasn’t even there at the counter. Thanks for reminding me why I should stick to the places I already enjoy.

Edit: I’d like to revise my previous review. I have since tried them again and they do have a few dishes that I think are pretty good. I’m going to guess that the problem before was a cook in the back that had no idea what he/she was doing. The owner is actually a very nice lady who seems to care more than her staff does. The pho is okay, though there is much better elsewhere in Savannah (*cough*Saigon Bistro*cough*). I do like their spring roll rice vermicelli bowl with fish sauce. The meat and veggies have been fresh. Their bahn mi is also pretty interesting and tastes fresh. Not sure if the summer rolls are still on the menu, but I would skip those. The peanut sauce tastes funky. They give generous portions of everything and they have yummy boba teas (Thai tea, anyone?). Overall, they’re okay and I’ll still order from them when I get a certain craving and want something quick and cheap. I’d say to try them at least once and with an open mind.

I don’t know how they stay in business, because the food here taste horrible. It was no close to being an asian dish. How can you hire a mexican or american (no offense) to be a chief that cook asian food?? You need a real asian cook to do this, and actually know what they doing. This is more like a take out place and not a very friendly service.
Would NOT recommend to any one at all.
