I ordered #7. The food was unappetizing in every way. The chicken was plentiful but tasted freezer burned and then boiled, just tasteless. Food storage/handling issue? There was no hint of red curry sauce. The noodles were mushy. The lettuce wasn’t fresh. The whole thing was more like soup. They only provide take out and the containers were smallish. Wish I hadn’t presumed it would be good and given a tip. Based on the quality of this order I would never order food from here again.

Nothing special about this meal, everything was just “ok.” The salad rolls were a disappointment, no flavour just three plain shrimp crammed into a roll with a ton of plain noodles. Have had some amazing salad rolls at other Thai places in the city so this was a letdown, paid $8 for some extra noodles basically.

Quick great food! The restaurant really doesn’t have much in the way of decore and sometimes the service can be a little slow. But the food is always amazing weather you are eating in or taking out. Generous portions and great value for your money. The number 6 (rice noodle bowl with spring rolls and choice of meat) is one of there most popular dishes. I’m also partial to their pho.

Saigon Delights Vietnamese food is getting a great reception in Kingston because it now has three locations. This Gardiner’s Road location joins Saigon Delights at Brock & Princess and another at Division & Queen. Kingstonian’s must enjoy the generous and tasty items on the menu, reasonable prices, attentive service and the good locations. Will there be a Saigon Delights east?

Saigon Delights west took over what was formerly an Italian food restaurant. It’s a cozy restaurant and has retained a striking lighted wall insert at the far end of the restaurant and facing the entrance. Ironically, the insert contains some wine bottles but the restaurant doesn’t yet have a liquor license!

They have a slightly different approach to Vietnamese noodle bowls from other spots in town. If you prefer a stir fried meats over grilled this is your place.

I do find that their Nuac Cham is a bit lacking in flavour.

Unfortunately we had a cockroach in our take out meal this evening which was incredibly off putting especially since I’ve been a customer for 15 years. The only positive was that they immediately refunded us when we called and brought the food back. Please be cautious of this locations cleanliness.

Not a soul in sight when we got there. The food is okay, the iced coffee not what I was expecting. Kingston isnt the greatest for Vietnamese, and this place sits right along with the rest in town for just being okay. Still need to go to Chinatown in Toronto or Ottawa for legit Pho.
