The service was superior with a smiling waitress eager to please. Food was cooked and served promptly.
The atmosphere was suddle with gentle piano music playing in the back ground. We easily were able to talk and relax.
I highly recommend this restaurant for an authentic meal.
While in my opinion the food was fabulous – the service was a large part of the lovely experience. Since we arrived after the lunch crowd we were able to spend some time talking with the owner Son ( not sure this is correct spelling) and his family. This was a treat for me.
The atmosphere felt like the “mom and pop” place with excellent food and great personal service. The physical space was clean and adequate.
The menu was quite varied and provided lots of great choices.
Definitely worth the time and effort to travel to if you are in the Austin/Lago Vista area. It’s a treat especially if you love Asian food.
Hoping to get back before we head back home.
I’m grateful there are multiple good local places to choose from. I’ve visited Saigon Cafe twice now and will definitely be back. So far I have only tried the Tom Yum soup, the Tom Yum Noodle Soup, and the Summer rolls. They’re all excellent and it’ll be hard to choose something different but I look forward to trying more of the menu.

Get there before the rush, it always gets super packed around 6-7.
