Got my usual as always, palak paneer, and this one was pretty good. Usually the ones fully blended smooth I know are gonna hit the spot. This one had a great heat to it and the pieces of paneer were pretty large. Garlic naan was large and fluffy which I appreciate but pretty steep price ($7!) for just bread.

Good food, professional service, freshly made, and price was not too bad. We ordered three main dishes: chicken with spinach, prawn with coconut curry, and lamb with spicy red curry. I can’t remember the name but we made sure we didn’t order the ‘usual’. IYKYK. All were yum and didn’t have too much salt like in other restaurants, which I was good. It was made fresh from scratch so there was some wait time, but it’s fine because it was supposed to be a date night. Main dishes didn’t include side dishes like rice or naan. So we ordered one side dishes of basmati rice and it was enough for the both of us. We couldn’t finish the meal because we were so full and got a box for the leftover. Service was professional, not too cold, not too friendly. Well lit so we could see the food and other guests weren’t too loud. They seemed to have lots of delivery orders. So that’s a good sign. Would highly recommend this place. Oh, and the menu was on the screen, not on paper. So no photos of that.

Great food. Overall loved the vibe and options. Tried their mango martini and it was perfect. For starters we had Aloo Tikki Chart, highly recommend! Achari mushroom tikka was the highlight. Loved the veg biryani as well. Would love to visit again to try their curries and naan! Ended our meal with some rabdi. Super refreshing!

5-Star Review for Sahib Restaurant, New York

Sahib is an absolute gem in the heart of Lexington Avenue! From the moment you walk in, the service is fantastic — attentive, friendly, and efficient. The food? Simply outstanding. They also serve beer/wine and other alcohol. Construction outside and it’s hardly visible from outside . It’s a hidden gem !

Their lunch special thali is a feast — generous portions, well-balanced flavors, and a variety of delicious dishes. The goat curry was easily one of the best I’ve had in New York — tender, rich, and packed with flavor. The dhal was perfectly spiced, the potato bhajji crisp and flavorful, and the meal ended on a sweet high with a warm, melt-in-your-mouth gulab jamoon.

At around $22 for the thali, it’s slightly on the pricier side for lunch, but absolutely worth every penny for the quality and quantity. Highly recommend if you’re looking for top-notch Indian food in Midtown. Will surely visit back . This place surely deserves a 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My friend took me there and I got to try some Indian food I’ve never had before. Such a great experience. We ordered Panipuri, dahi aloo tikki chaat (so flavorful and I’ve in love with the texture), paneer curry with lachha paratha. Everything’s tasty and the price is very reasonable for the serving size. Totally recommend❤️‍

The vegetarian lunch ($17.95, tax included) included an appetizer, your choice of the main dish, black daal, basmati rice, naan and a small serving of Sooji. The methi mutter paneer was well-seasoned, rich and creamy. The spice level can be adjusted to your liking. I would gladly return to sample more dishes.

I LOVE this spot. I’ve tried so many Indian food spots but this is unbeatable for the price + quality, not to mention the excellent service. (Go for their lunch special if you want a good deal).

Sahib was a great experience overall. The food was fantastic. I had the lamb biryani, Kori gassi, and chili garlic naan. The masala chai and strawberry lassi were quite good as well. To finish I had the Malpua and rabri and ras malai.
The servers were attentive and polite. The small restaurant had a nice backdrop of noise and overall was a quite pleasant experience.
Would go again!

Came in based on recommendation from friends in the area! A little nook in the wall of New York (as most great restaurants are) that opened up into a beautifully ornate and aromatic business.

Food was great for a quick bite before my train out of New York city. Ordered a lunch special that was flavorful and filling! Mango lassi was alright and did its job in tandem with a morning margarita.
