Cook came out to ensure we were ordering the right dish, white chicken. He has new item mot on menu. It was moist, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Garlic creamy and whipped fluffy. Cardamon basmati rice has great flavor. Sahara gyro pita sandwich was packed full.

This place is incredible. Some of the best Mediterranean I have ever had. The depth of flavor and spices was amazing, everything was perfectly cooked, and moderately priced. Service was a little slow but worth the wait in my opinion. Support your local small businesses by being patient and understanding. The food is well worth it.

Delightful experience. Atmosphere was inviting and staff was welcoming with top notch service. I had the chicken shawarma with fries which were absolutely the best fries I’ve ever had! The shawarma was stunning and loved the garlic toum with cucumbers for an appetizer.

I read about Sahara Bistro on a GR food Reddit forum. I figured if one person had only a single recommendation with an entire paragraph raving about this place, that it would be well worth the visit. They were so right. You could taste the love and quality of their food and ingredients, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and every single item we tried was mouth watering good. So good that we couldn’t resist taking home food for dinner, too. Good atmosphere, and the menu prices were more than reasonable. I am already planing on what to try next time I go, and the time after that. Can’t wait to try it all. I meant to take pictures but the food was gone before I could remember to. They started us off with some complementary toum that I will be dreaming of for weeks. Well done and thank you!

Best burgers in Grand Rapids!! We love the Sahara classic cheeseburger and the Charlie’s Nashville hot chicken sandwich. I was initially surprised with the latter as I expected it to be breaded like a regular Nashville sandwich. But nonetheless it’s so good. The fries are scrumptious too!
We also love the Lebanese rice pudding!
Slightly on the pricier side but the food, ambience and service makes it well worth the price.

This place is wonderful. I came in to just get an appetizer recently before going to the library to work on some educational goals that I have, and these kind folks decided to provide me with a pita too on the house. It was a sign from the universe that it wants me to get a master’s degree. The food is exquisite and the atmosphere is calm and upscale. A great greater GR area dining gem. You can GrubHub them too.
