Social Profile:

Located in the heart of downtown Rochester our café, restaurant & bar is inspired by the traditional Italian sagra: a local festival centered around food, community, and the joy of gathering. We’re a casual neighborhood spot with counter-service & full bar, where you can stop in for coffee with friends or share fresh lasagna and wine on a date night. We do not accept reservations. We’re passionate about using real, quality ingredients, from our house-made pasta and focaccia to Ma’s meatball recipe. We pulled from our Italian heritage and almost 30 years of experience at our sister restaurant, Tapas 177, to bring you dishes that we truly love!

We throughly enjoyed our experience at Sagra! We both ordered the pappardelle bolognese and it seriously transported us straight back to Italy! We’ve traveled all over Italy and this dish was done right…homemade pasta and an authentic bolognese! Fried burrata was light and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy with a great vibe, perfect for a relaxed night out. I only gave service a 4 bc there was no one to greet diners and it was confusing. All of the staff was friendly! We even talked about our family being from Abruzzo! Seating is a bit hectic, but we only waited a few minutes before a table opened. Definitely a spot we’d visit again!

We stopped in on a Friday evening and sat at the bar. The service time was quick and the bar tender was very attentive. We ordered a bolognese, chicken cutlet and the fungi pizza. Every single item was delicious and the portions were generous. We will absolutely be back and will be bringing friends!

The introduction of Sagra Italia on St Paul, is a notable development, modern chic design transforming from a daytime coffee shop into a refined evening destination, featuring expertly crafted cocktails paired with exceptional flavors and specialty foccocia bread pizza. The concise menu is a highlight; standout options include the fried burrata, blush pasta and the Italian marg or cocchi spritz.

Delicious food, lovely café space with a casual atmosphere that has a semi-upscale vibe. A best of both worlds type place. Sagra Italia is a great spot for some craft cocktails, wine, a small, but decent draft selection, and good company.

Best lasagna I’ve ever had. Homemade pasta and breads AMAZING. Relaxing casual modern environment. Great wine selection drafts and cocktails. Did I mention the Lasagna?! SO good! The city and neighborhood needed you.

Cafe, restaurant, bar. I get the bar and the cafe aspect. Unfortunately I can’t really see this as a restaurant…you order your own food and they give you a table number then bring it out to you. Drinks you get at the bar, and water is self serve. When you’re done the plates gets placed in a plastic bin above a generic food court style trash can. The “wait” for a table doesn’t really exist due to no wait staff, it all depends on how long the people stay after their meal, which I was not a fan of due to the very limited seats available. The food was pretty impressive and well priced but the focaccia had more of a ciabatta texture which was a little bit of a downer. Definitely a better lunch spot, and should do well during that time, but for dinner I would rather go else where. Probably won’t return.

First time but definitely won’t be the last!! Impressive amaro selection, had 3 amazing cocktails. The ceaser salad was one of the best I’ve ever had. Our bartender, I believe his name was Derek, he recommended the funghi pasta which was absolutely perfect texture and the flavors were balanced expertly. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for incredible food with a cozy atmosphere. Great addition to the Rochester hospitality scene.

Went on a Thursday at 1:30 PM. The mussels and shrimp of the Shellfish Scoglio were as good as I’ve had anywhere. We ordered the Toasted Focaccia with Parmigiano which had a delicious flaky crust. My wife had the Abruzzo sandwich – also excellent.

Knowing this was self-serve fast casual after reading about it in City Newspaper, we were prepared for ordering at the bar and counter. The shrimp pasta was delicious (long flat noodles!!) as was the focaccia pizza. The room and music were loud but we could still hold a conversation. Good value of you know what to expect.
