This evening my eight friends and I had a wonderful experience at the Sage Bistro. Everything was organized and thought out so deliciously. The presentation was a 5 Star representation. The portions were made to fulfill the hunger. We will be back as everyone stated at our table. Can’t wait to see what menu awaits us. What’s even nicer, we could have a conversation without background noise. Superb atmosphere.

What a lovely place. My beloved boss recommended the restaurant, and I thank him for letting me know about it. The only downside is it is not well advertised, and people like me had no way of finding it out if not for luck!

Nevertheless, we were lucky enough to visit on the last day of when Chef Roy Choi’s menu is served, cooked by talented MCC students. As one of very few Koreans in Nebraska, it has been a challenge to find authentic Korean food. It was amazing to experience semi-fine dining experience where the Korean cuisine was the theme. Every dish meant so much to me. When I saw boong-uh bbang for our desert, I teared up, as I felt like Nebraska people care about my roots and they enjoy it like I do. It was amazing and almost surreal experience, as I thought Boong-uh bbang is the last thing I would find in a Nebraska restaurant. Furthermore, our student server, Jon was so kind and attentive, and he made our visit more memorable.

Overall, the food was good, and the price was fair ($60/person). I liked that there are about 20 chefs’ menu to try over time, and we can try a new menu every two weeks. I appreciate MCM faculties and students embracing diversity and made my me feel welcomed. I wish students in the program all the luck in their future endeavor. I had such an unexpected, wonderful evening. Thank you.

FANTASTIC! Wow was I blown away. I emailed and got reservations for a 14 course meal and wow was I surprised. It was wonderful. We even specialized asking if they could accommodate for vegetarian and they did, which I am so grateful for. Thanks so much what a wonderful evening we had and the food was superb!

First time night brought us to the student bistro tonight. It is a fine dining experience aimed at teaching students the details of working in or operating a restaurant. Students take classes in the various branches of the business and then work in that branch while they take that class. We know this because the young people working with us were very happy to share details about their experiences. You will never dine anywhere where the people working are more excited about what they are doing. The food was delicious. Yes, there may be some details in a dish that need refining. No, those details do not detract from your dining experience.

The atmosphere was perfect for a special occasion, and we’d love to come back for no occasion at all when we can (and we’d feel comfortable doing so). The scallops on the menu that night were easily our favorite – perfect. The fixed menu was delicious, but if we were vegetarian I’m not sure we’d have had many options. Our server was very knowledgeable when we had questions, but most of all she was friendly and helpful in conducting a lovely dinner date.

We had a great time! Students worked hard to create a fun culinary experience! Menu changes continuously but 1 item we enjoyed was the charcuterie board.

I wish I didn’t wait so long before visiting. I’m grateful that a friend shared this gem. We’ll be back!

The app didn’t get a picture – Beef Ribeye Cap “Barbacoa”, was well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and melted in your mouth.
The main – Asada Eye of Ribeye, while overcooked for my liking was still very flavorful, and still juicy. I surprising didn’t mind that it was med-med well.
interlude – I could have had a lot more of that!
Dessert – Crepes con Cajerta, Dark Chocolate Tres Leches, and Manjar Blanco which stole the show for me. The crepes were incredible, but the lavender coconut crème was devine.
As for connections – the shortbread was the winner for me.

These students do a better job than plenty of other restaurants here in town. Hats off to all who are involved in this program. Give this place a visit. It’s well worth it!

The food is amazing and each course exceeded expectations. Service was a little slow but didn’t affect the overall experience. The wine pairings complemented the food and definitely worth the extra cost.
