My wife and I enjoyed an awesome meal here. We started with the tuna tower and a dozen canadian oysters. I was very pleased to find out they had cold water oysters. For entrees we ordered the scallops and salmon. Everything was paired nicely with the surrounding sauces. One thing I also loved was their bourbon selection. I find it hard to find most of what they had. We’re definitely going to pay them another visit.

We hada great time at dinner last night while we were in town for the weekend. I was on the hunt for oysters and these did not disappoint! Our server was friendly and attentive, and they made a whisky sour the correct way! What’s not to like? We would definitely Come back when we are back in the area.

Took my wife here for her birthday based on a recommendation. It was wonderful. We had a artichoke & crabmeat appetizer which was delicious. We added an appetizer of fried Lobster tails. I had never seen fried Lobster before so I took my chances and all I can say is WOW! They were perfection.
I had steak frittes and it was great. My wife had NY strip steak that was cooked perfectly. It melted in your mouth.
The cocktails were strong and tasty.
It was a great birthday dinner!

Great ambience—classy, clean, and very welcoming. I took my family to celebrate my parents’ anniversary, and our server surprised us with champagne and dessert; she was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. The food was AMAZING, from the charcuterie board to the drinks and entrées. Prices were very reasonable. It was my first time dining here, and it will definitely become a place I visit often.

My wife and I tried this place for the first time and we were not impressed (specially due to how much they charge).
Let’s start off by saying that the drinks were absolutely fantastic! Kudos to the bartender.
First off, we were seated indoors and had to move within seconds of arrival due to us being under an A/C vent. It was freezing in there. I can see why they have the A/C crank up since the kitchen is visible from the seating area but still, it was super cold inside. Be sure to bring a jacket if you are someone who gets chilly easily.
For drinks I had the Green Man and Desert Tracks, my wife had the Bella Notte and Strawberry Fields.
Again, the drinks were amazing. No complaints there.
For food, we ordered the Chicken Thighs, Pork Belly, Octopus, and Flat Iron Steak from the skewer selection. We also ordered a side of Mac & Cheese and Brussel Sprouts.
The best thing was the Mac & Cheese and the Flat Iton steak with Chimichurri sauce. Both were amazing!
The chicken was average, something I could have made at home. The pork belly lacked flavor honestly, and the octopus was not bad but it also lacked flavor.
For the amount of money we paid I expected more flavor wise.
Our server was kind and attentive so no issues with service.
We will return and try food from the fire grill rather than the skewers and see if that’s better.

I had a good dinner here this evening. There was a bit of confusion regarding my reservation. I was finally seated in the extended dining room in the station bar. I started with a cocktail that was very good. The shrimp cocktail was nicely presented on a large bed of ice. this came with a piece of lemon and three sauces.. The wedge salad was very good. The 12 ounce ribeye was well seasoned and very tasty vegetables were I roasted vegetables as a side for the steak the roasted vegetables were standard but not delicious ice cream for dessert. I had grilled pineapple with coconut ice cream, this was very good and it was a very nice lite dessert. I had a nice discussion with the new general manager that has only been there for one week. He was very nice and I enjoyed talking with him.

We have now been here twice. We fell in love thw first time we came in but this second time, wow. We had an amazing bartender who knew his way around cocktails and wine. He even changed my preference in vodka and he knew I would! Very detailed on everything including the specials! I had swordfish which I ate every bit of. We will become regulars at this place. Keep it going Sage and Salt!!

We ate in the Station part. We totally enjoyed it! Service was excellent, as well as the food. I had the pan seared Scottish salmon with vegetables and a bure(?spelling) blanc sauce that was delicious.

There was nothing about our initial visit to Sage & Salt that didn’t impress. We sat at the bar (reservations on Open Table are broken out for bar, dining room and both patios) and enjoyed drinks and dinner in the very capable hands of Tom behind the bar. He made excellent drink and dinner suggestions (he makes one heck of a Manhattan). Our appetizer choice was the tuna tower, very fresh with flavors that complemented each other well. For entrees we had the rack of lamb and sea scallops, both perfectly cooked and delicious. Their cheesecake comes from Alex’s so you know it’s top notch, and the rice pudding brûlée was a creative take on a traditional dessert. Cannot recommend this place enough, it has a great “it” factor that makes it a welcome addition to the WS restaurant scene. We’re already planning our next trip there.

Spent the day exploring Winston-Salem with my husband. We were headed to a different restaurant, but after reading mixed reviews, I hopped on Google maps to look at more options. After reading the fabulous reviews about Sage and salt, we both agreed that we need to try this place! We met Brandon, one of the owners, and he blew us away with his hospitality. The hostess Layla is a sweetheart as well, our server Nick was fantastic and Kate, the GM was wonderful. I was told Chef Pat has worked with top restaurants and trained to make the most delicious foods. We think he has nailed it! Sage & Salt’s staff go over & above. First class service all the way! I had the Pan-Seared Scottish salmon & it was like none other that I have ever tasted. The jumbo shrimp was actually jumbo and so fresh! We also tried the Shishito peppers, pork belly Sriracha honey, & flat iron steak chimichurri. My husband’s Pan-seared scallops with English Pea risotto was mouth watering.
There is lovely live music on Friday & Saturday nights.
I highly recommended making reservations because Sage & Salt was packed and for good reason.
Bon appétit
