Visited the Sage Room after a recommendation from another bar/restaurant. Made reservations for Wednesday night. We were welcomed and greeted as soon as we came in, the gentleman at the hostess desk was very friendly and energetic. Every single dish that came out was absolutely perfect. Our cocktails to start was the blackberry bramble which was delicious and a grapefruit cocktail , which I can’t remember the name, but it was also delicious. We had the bread with the side of honey butter and Hawaiian black sea salt and a red pepper olive oil. It had so much flavor, it had us wanting . We also had the tuna for appetizer and it did not disappoint. My meal was the fillet medium rare and it was cooked absolutely perfect and my husband had the ribeye, which was also perfect. Topped it off with turtle cheesecake and bread pudding which we’re both to die for and the espresso martinis were delicious. Our waiter Toby was phenomenal. I highly recommend him.

pretty good not great. all elements of the meal just never landed 5/5 but i would come back and try more menu items and experience another dinner. halibut special was well plated and presented but overcooked and needed salt. scallop dish was also plated beautifully but fried risotto (their take on arancini..) just really missed the mark for me. if you under cook risotto, then fry it, the result is very tough grains of rice.. starter caesar salad again, 4/5, seemed like romain was a few days old so a bit soggy. chocolate cocktail for dessert was good. wine by the glass just okay. again, can’t give them 5/5 because just not at that level and for the price, i was bummed

Last night was our first time dining at the Sage Room after all these years of wanting to go there. We were celebrating my birthday. We told the hostess this before we arrived when we arrived and still the waitress had no knowledge of this when we sat down. We let the waitress know it was my birthday. The food came out quickly initially, but the shrimp was not very good and the French onion soup that we were so looking forward to was not as good as expected .
The waitress also forgot my sister’s appetizer salad. By the time she came back to the table for us to tell her this, we were already almost done and our dinner was coming, so we just said to skip it.
I had the halibut special which was $60 for a huge Piece of fish, which was a very good piece of fish. It was just too big and it had a weird breaded crust on it, which I couldn’t decide was an Asian dish or an Italian dish.
My husband had the Sage Room Benedict which he said was very good.
All of our food came out warm, not hot. I think the waitress forgot about us because we were in the back. She then came back to the table and asked us if we wanted dessert and we said no. She held up the menu and said are you sure you don’t want something for your birthday? We thought that she was offering a free dessert for my birthday but when we got the check, we saw that she charged us for the crème brûlée. Which was weird because we had told her we didn’t want anything initially.
Bottom Line is for $250 dinner for three people. We expected better service and better food.

We have been coming to HH for years. I don’t know why we never came here to eat. I can say our first visit will not be our last visit. Our server, Kimberly was wonderful and the food was an A plus culinary experience. In addition, the atmosphere was suited for a high end meal. This restaurant is a grand slam.

We enjoyed an excellent meal at the Sage Room while celebrating my birthday. The food was great and the service was even better. The drinks were definitely yummy.
Our server kept the glasses full. I will say make a reservation because the seating was packed. We loved it here and would definitely come back. I give this location a 4.7 out of 5. ❤️

We had a table for 5 people and reservations are highly recommended. We were seated quickly and we had cocktails and appetizers to start. The butternut squash soup is an excellent start. I had a filet which was cooked perfectly. The server was attentive and warm. There are a lot of guests so it can be a little loud, but the conversation flowed at the table. Everyone said it was their best meal on the island that week. It is a local favorite. Will visit again soon.

If ever a place deserved a FIVE star rating, it would be the Sage Room! I will judge all other classy restaurants based on the experience this place gave us.
The food was spectacular! The Tomahawk pork chop was the best pork chop that my tastebuds have ever experienced! The Champagne Scallops melt in your mouth with amazing flavor. The Crab Cake appetizer will make you wonder if you should get a second order. They are that good! I highly suggest making reservations here. We sat at the bar, and the two bartenders could make anything. Both of them were exceptional, and they made us feel like family. We’ve been coming to HH for many years, and we will now make this a date night tradition. We can’t thank you enough for this incredible experience.

For a couple spending $165 each, dinner was disappointing. Money aside, the meal was okay. Bacon app in duck fat was excellent, though barely warm. Scallops were a little fishy tasting, overcooked, and while the topping sounded great, it was boring. Chilean sea bass was a small portion, a little fishy, and the topping was boring. Again, not bad, just uneventful relative to comparable options across HHI that we will patronize again. Wine list was good—a bit pricey for Banfi though. Service was attentive, no complaints. Interesting atmosphere, a unique setup.
