1st time at The Sage in McMinnville. Had the Sage Club (1/2) came with pickle and cup of Beef Barley soup (came with 1/2 slice of bread). Soup was hot and tasty, sandwich on the skimpy side. Service was nice, helpful. Decor above store was ok, busy at 11:15am but seated for 4 immediately. Easy to hear each other. Wife had the Gobbler (1/2) also on skimpy side and ok. Bread was delicious, thick so tasted more like a bread sandwich with little meat.
Note that prices are higher than photos on earlier reviews!

We absolutely LOVE this place! Their food is fresh and delicious and I just love that their bread is soft and thick and also homemade. Don’t skip out on their broccoli cheddar soup it’s fantastic

love this place every time! i don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu, however, my current favorite is half a gobbler and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. the strawberry lemonade is also excellent and the fresh bread is incredible! we stopped in to have a brunch to celebrate our 3 year anniversary (dating) and had ab excellent start to the afternoon. we always eat here once if not twice every time i visit mcminnville from minnesota

Cute little restaurant tucked away at the rear of La Bella Casa. I required some gracious people to direct me to it. Fast service. Excellent food.

Omg the white bean chili is DELICIOUS! The soups change daily, but they serve this chili on Thursdays — I would come back for this and their homemade wheat bread alone! Nice selection of sandwiches and salads at affordable prices. Lively atmosphere and friendly staff.

We decided to try this place because of its high ratings but left disappointed. Competently executed basic farm house food. But portions are small, with no sides…and the prices feel steep—$14 for a bland sandwich you could easily make at home. Nothing special. Menu probably hasn’t change since the 1970s. The strawberry lemonade seems like a canned lemonade with a teaspoon of strawberry syrup… The 5 star reviews are exaggerated.

Reliable quality and service. The food is always so tasty and the location allows for browsing in the downstairs stores on your way in or out.

Over 40 years of great food that never gets old. Thank you Sage. Half a sandwich and corn chowder for lunch is the perfect brown-bag option on a sunny winter’s day.

This has been my favorite restaurant my entire life. The Gobbler Sandwich and a cup of any of their soups is my go to!

It was okay all around. The club i ate was… a sandwich. A $14 sandwich i probably could have made at home but it wasn’t bad. Service was fine. The atmosphere was pretty small and bland. The parking in that area was terrible. Probably won’t be somewhere I go back to, but there wasn’t anything wrong per say. Just nothing special. And for a $14 sandwich some type of side would have been appreciated.
