Taylor is an amazing server/host who manages her tables well. She pops up right when you need her like she can read your mind. I had the Soul Waffles was yum hint deep fried! The Breakfast shot had butterscotch and was a delicious added touch to my savory waffles. Always add the side of shrimp. I love DJ Pretty; she set the vibe!!

A friend recommended coming here. Place had a nice size crowd. We were greeted and seated. Menu had a variety of cocktails to choose from which I liked. Decided on the Pop That Cherry. It was really good, had to get another one before I left, lol. I got the Sage Fried Fish for my entree. Came out hot and cooked just the way I like it. Looking forward to coming back

Really fabulous! Our server, Jess, was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the soul rolls for an appetizer. Fried fish was delish. Music was a great background.

I took my wife here on Valentine’s Day and we had a marvelous time. Atmosphere was welcoming and the staff was friendly and kind. So the wait for service was a tad long but well worth the wait because the food was beyond exquisite!! I came in hungry and left so very satisfied. We ordered the wing appetizers in both hot and lemon pepper and omg it was so delicious! For my main course I ordered the lamb with rice and I added an extra side of broccoli. The lamb was simply out of this world!! There was not one thing on my plate that wasn’t flat out delicious!! My wife ordered the fried fish and that was amazing too! The taste of all the food gives this place 5 stars on its own!! I definitely look forward to going back someday for sure!!

Sage is a clean and stylish spot with a great vibe. We dined in the outdoor seating area, which was super chill and complemented by a playlist of new hip-hop music definitely added to the experience.
Heads up: you can’t drive directly to the location. It’s pedestrian-only access, so plan to park nearby (paid parking) and walk in. That said, the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, which is great.
The food? Delicious, no doubt. But it was very salty, so if you’re watching your sodium intake or have health concerns, it might not be the best fit.
Overall, great energy, solid food, and a unique spot for a night out just come prepared for a bit of a walk and bold flavors.

I had the pleasure of being in Memphis for the first time celebrating my husband birthday. We were referred to this restaurant based on my friend visit. The service that we received was great! The waitress Ayanna was very helpful and knowledgeable when deciding on what to order. We was not disappointed on the selection that we ordered. My husband had shrimp and grits. I had chicken and waffles with a side of hash browns. Everything was seasoned to our liking. I recommend this black own establishment when you’re in Downtown Memphis!
