Wonderful Country Cooking. Expansive Menu. My thought, can’t be good at it all….Crab Soup amazing. Prime Rib Souvlaki was delicious. Greek Salad no cucumber or Olives…disappointing. Taziki Sauce is delicious. GREAT prices. Daily Specials and Lunch Menu has Specials. Definately worth the stop. Even have an Old Fashioned Counter to sit and eat. Excellent Sweet Tea. Although we did not get Dessert, their Pies look amazing!

I stopped by there on the way back to Norfolk last night. Even though it was close to closing time, they took my order. When I tell you the food was delicious, it’s an understatement! The customer service was awesome, the CRAB SOUP was amazing and the green beans were perfect!! I’d give them ten stars if I could!!

10JUNE2025 This place has been around since I was a kid(1980’s) and this was my first time ever eating here. I was in town visiting my father and the only reason why me and my family ate here was due to my father wanting to eat here.
Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. I’ve traveled extensively and have eaten in the best places and I’ve had better. The mozzarella sticks were good and the marinara sauce was too thick. That chicken caesar wrap was not edible..cubed chicken inside the wrap was very dry and why would there be rice inside of a chicken caesar wrap is beyond my thoughts. I guess the flavorless food for the shore is the thing. Some like this type of cooking..to each their own. I hope not to eat here again.
Customer service was very friendly and nice. Clean establishment and ample parking.

Stopped for lunch on out way to Williamsburg. Ordered special of slippery dumplings and chicken. OMG! Talk about delicious and so much we took it and had another meal. Came with soup and one side for $10.99

Most of the food was great. Some needed more seasoning. The calamari was fabulous, the breading had a great flavor and it was fried perfectly. Don’t skip dessert the coconut and carrots cakes were moist and so good. The white staff was very kind, very helpful.

Dennis was absolutely amazing. Our breakfast was out in 5 minutes! The server was amazing. The food was well portioned and flavorful. 10/10 experience. Will be back for sure.

Food is ok depending on what you get. The trout and catfish was good not strong tasting at all when we had it, Greek salad doesn’t have olives or peppercini. We got so many fries! The prime rib was well done when I asked for a rare, then they brought a medium well done and both times the server was like it’s rare, the kitchen said it’s rare so it must be. I showed him a picture of rare after the first time. The hamburger steak is huge! But meh, fine if you are hungry, lumpy mashed potatoes. The cream of crab soup has a lot of old bay in it. It’s ok. The cheese steak was a lot of bread but kinda chewy meat. The cornbread is above average for most restaurants but not among the good ones I’ve had. It’s very nice that they bring that out to you.

I ate here with several of my coworkers during a Christmas Party celebrating a good year of work, and of course, the upcoming holiday.
Writing this review just to praise the staff for doing such an excellent job in catering the event, practically going above and beyond. Including the staff member who had admitted he was new at the time. He did fine.
Highly recommend, this restaurant always does good.

Sage Diner is such a hidden gem. The food was really good—classic diner comfort food, fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you sit down at a diner.
Our server was amazing too—so friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming.
If you love finding cozy local spots with great food and good vibes, this one’s it. Eat local! Definitely coming back.

Its ki da pricey for what you get. We ordered 2 fish sandwiches and fries. The fish was kinda small compared to other places we eat. The one thing they have going g for them is their cheese sticks are second to none. Our waiter needed to put on some deodorant as he was smelling pretty ripe!!
